Just curious: Do you exercise when you are sick? What does it take to keep you from exercising? Fever? Head cold? Chest cold? Cough? Wheezing? Barfing?

I have been sick this past week and I have not exercised. I have been weak, had a sore throat, earache, and have felt off balance if that makes any sense. I missed my step aerobics this week because I was afraid if I exerted myself I would pass out! But I am feeling better and will be back with it! I don't feel guilty about not working out because I was sick. I felt like I needed to give my body time to recover from the illness and I don't feel bad about that!

first of of all, blue_eyes5212 get well soon. :cutie:

I won't exercise if I feel nauseous or dizzy. I will exercise on the bike if my legs feel fine. When I first started WISH I exercised through the pain. I'd pop a Tylenol or Naproxin and get the dvd going.

i said depends -- if i have a typical cold/virus i work through it. anything else - flu, strep throat, etc i would NOT workout until I was better

I also said "it depends". Last week I was fighting off a cold and sore throat. I tried to do my DVD and was unable to finish it twice last week because I started feeling real short of breath. Unless I have a terrible migraine :headache: or am barfing, I will at least try to do what I can and then I have to just listen to my body.
