Well, I almost always have dreams similar to that (usually me running from something or being chased by something or captured by something, not always specifically tidal waves in the mountains), this is just the first one in a long time I've woken up that upset from. It was strange. I couldn't go back to sleep until I'd sat up petting Skye and Sienna for a few minutes.
I did have dinner about 2 hours later than usual, but I also went to bed an hour and a half later than usual so I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.
I have been focusing on fish and our new aquarium recently (and hoping I haven't gotten myself in over my head on the aquarium

) so that very well could answer the water portion, but not the fact that it came in the form of a tidal wave. Usually if I have water-disaster dreams it's horribly flooded streets. Not tidal waves chasing me.
I was reading about the Grand Canyon and other sites in Arizona just before going to bed, so that easily could bring in the mountains. (Ignore the fact that the Grand Canyon is a *Canyon*, not a mountain....

)
I think that part of the dream (me being on the phone trying to talk to my mom about getting a project done and having to tell her to hang on a minute while I raced the incoming wave) might signify my feelings of having taken on too much stuff since I was worried about how I was going to get everything done this weekend.
It was just strange to wake up actually *shaking* from a dream. Very strange. I'll have to see if it happens any more this week, and if it does, I'm going to see if we can up the dosage on my prescription that supposedly helps cut down the anxiety in these dreams...
