My brother recently went to his twenty year college reunion. He contacted an old friend from his college days and convinced him to go to the reunion with him. The old college friend has lived 50 miles from the old college (which he attended for four years) but HAS NOT SEEN HIS OLD SCHOOL FOR TWENTY YEARS! Even though he was living only an hour away from his old school, he had no interest (until last week) in visiting the campus.

My brother and I always like to tour places from the past. How about you?

We will go back and visit our colleges, especially for alumni track meets, etc. I haven't been back inside my old high school for 20 years. I have driven buy it on the way to someplace else though.

We have season tickets to the football games & our oldest DD attends school there. We visit often.

i only graduated high school a few years ago,but my brother graduated the year after me so i was there alot then for his baseball games and such...
this is funny timing with this question, as my best friend just called and he told me today is our high schools homecoming and hes thinkingabout going to the game..so if he goes, i guess ill be visiting my old hs today

College, no. High school, yes - younger DS just graduated from there a couple of years ago, so I've been back on the campus many, many times.

We still support the football team, even with no children attending the school right now. DD will be a freshman there in the fall of 2008.

I haven't been inside my old HS since I was in college (driven by it a number of times, when I visit my parents). I was last back on my college campus (we live 20 miles away) for our last reunion a year or so ago. DW visits campus all the time, since she's in charge of recruiting for her firm.

I live in the same town where I grew up, my children attend the schools I went to. the other night I went to a parent-teacher conference at the high shcool and ran into the teacher who was a major influence in my career choice. he's retiring in June. I just had to thank him.

my college is a four-hour drive from here. I went to SUNY Albany. I've only been back once since graduation. just before my older daughter was born my ex-dh and I were on vacation in the area (we spent a few days in Lake George) where I went to college, and we stopped at the campus for a few hours to look around.

I went to Hofstra University for law school. I drive past the campus occasionally, and once in a while I'll go there for an event or to use the law library.

My high school is gone. It was torn down and turned into a housing development. (That's the high school I attended the longest. The school I got my diploma from is still there, but I have no attachments whatsoever to it.)

I went back to my college campus a couple of years ago to get a transcript. It has grown a LOT since DH and I were there 25 years ago. The library has had several additions, and many new buildings have been built. Even so, I was able to show my kids the record players that DH and I were listening to in the library when we met in 1978 while studying for finals. I was stunned that they are still there.

i refuse to go to my high school reunions, whenever they may be. i never really felt anything for the place or most of the people there. the few i do appreciate and who appreciate me, i still keep in contact with and that's all that matters to me.

college however, i can't wait to go back for our 2 year reunion! i've only been out a few months, but i miss the place and the people so much (i actually live 15 minutes from campus and have been back once since i left in may to visit some friends).

I live in the town where I went to High School, so I pass it every day.

My college I have been to twice since I graduated. One was for a Teacher Alumni meeting, and the other was to show my husband.

I haven't gone on an official tour but I have been on the grounds of both hs and the colleges i attended.

My daughter goes to my old grade school so I see that all the time LOL....and she will be going to my old Jr High and my old High school so I will be seeing that all the time too LOL!! I just couldn't imagine my daughter not going to the same school I did...

My kids are attending the same school system as I did.

College....I have only gone there once after I graduated and that was for a 10 year reunion.

I actually live a mile from the university I attended, and I work in the university hospital at the edge of campus, so yes, I go back to my college all the time! :earsgirl:

A few years ago, DH and I walked to the old turn-of-the century dorms where I used to live. I couldn't believe I hadn't walked around near the dorms in probably 25 years! It was really cool. Only change I could see, even up close, was that the university had placed security cameras in the gargoyles over the doors. The dorms still aren't air-conditioned....see, some things never change!

I would never go back to my high school--it's been too long, there wouldn't be anybody I knew there. My graduating class was large (700) and I doubt I would remember many of the people who go to the reunions, either.
