For example :

That 5 gum Rain = last year around the springtime/end of the year, when we would all chew gum in class, and i would laugh it up with my best friends (who are now in a different school)


Chicken and wildrice soup reminds me of VMK, when i'd actually take prority in how my guest rooms would look, and making new friends.

Ramen noodle reminds me of when i first REALLY started getting into VMK during april

Pink ribbon body wash (which TOTALLY smelled like frosting for some reason) reminds me of the solo i played last year

the smell of something burning, and disco lights reminds me of prom

the smell of nailpolish reminds me of the beginning of this year

the smell of smoky maple candle reminds me of this past october

the smell of cherry candle (that i got at the dollarstore) reminds me of november

Do you ever get that?

I get it A LOT, my friend gave me a piece of 5 gum the other day, and today i decided to chew it and it was like i went into a coma of last year.

For me it's songs and smells. Like, whenever my mom puts windshield wiper fluid in the car, I remember Vermont. We were leaving Killington and had to pull over across from the Rutland Mall to put more in.

My friend got me a present (just randomly, we do that if we see something at the store thats cheap and we cant resist we will get it) of "High School Musical Hand Sanitizer" (because i have over 10 bottles of purell like..hidden around my house and at school) and i started laughing but when i used it, i noticed that it smelt a LOT like my cats litter, and i said "hey..smell this" and (she has a cat also) and she said "is that what Zach Effron smells like!?"

so every time i smell that, or am near my cats litter it reminds me of Zach Effron (and the opposite way as well)

I get it all the time. I also get it with songs. There is a scent (I don't even know what it is) but when I smell it it reminds me of the boy I liked in the 8th grade because he used to wear it (or at least something that smelled similar to it). There are songs that take me back to certain years, at a certain time that year. For example, the song Vertigo by U2 takes me back to late November/early December 2004. Or that song Shattered by O.A.R. it reminds me of my vacation I just took in September. It's mostly when the song came out or became popular, I remember that time in my life.

I'll eat things or smell things or even read, watch, play things and instantly be transported back to childhood.

I have a bodywash that I used every day in WDW so now it reminds me of humidity and Florida.
I'll watch old Disney movies I haven't watched in a decade and I feel just like a little kid again.
I read the first Harry Potter again and I felt 8 yrs old.
I'll play old games and have just a feeling of nostalgia..

omg...I have moments where I catch the smell and humidity(sp?) of disney.....I was like OMG and I freaked out all my friends...
Then the other day I was at my grammies house and she had garnier fructis or however you spell it and I was using it and I reminded my of Cape Cod 'cuz thats what i used to use in the outdoor shower...I was like why couldn't that last longer cuz its winter and all. lolz I"m hyper lol
