you think your story/situation is so bizarre that you're afraid no one would believe it anyway?

did you want to elaborate on this a little bit, Wishydoo? I'm not quite getting your drift.....we'll just whisper here, okay? Now, could you give a bit better explanation. Are we talking about WDW or another more general topic?

Sometimes. If my post is so complicated that it would require an essay to explain, then I won't post it. I'm a 2 finger typist with painful CT, so it's just not worth it.

Post away...:)
I'm sure most everyone here has heard some really off the wall stories...

hehe Sharby:D
I mean, when a question is posted and you see the other responses and your honest response seems off-the-wall (even to you), does that make you not want to post it?:p

Oh, be honest. You don't want to start it because you think no one will post to it and then the thread that you started would be killed.:p

Oh, wait. You are just talking about posting to a thread--not starting one.
Well, I still think you know that your post will kill the someone else's thread and you don't want the tagline of "thread murderer". ;) :p

LMBO Buckalew!:teeth:

But I'm seriously wondering if anyone refrains from replying to threads for the reason I stated.

You should hear the stories I DON'T post!:p ;)

Well, post a couple here so we can be a better judge. ;)

I usually don't post because so many before me have posted about the same that I would have said and I didn't want to sound redundant.

Oh, now I get you Wishydoo! Yes, in real life. . I have a very sarcastic sense of humor, so I generally have to "preview reply" several times to see if I've toned myself down enough.

My sarcasm totally comes out when I see another "newbie post of the week" along the lines of "how should I start planning?' and we all jump on there and say, "Well, there's this website and that website and if you need to save money, there's this website." - but that's not what I'm thinking as I type. :teeth:

We should just tie all those newbie threads together and make a braid, so that we can just point newbie trip planners in the right direction and stop adding falsely to our post count. :teeth:

 You mean there are actually DISers who falsely add to their post count?

newbie's of the thread unite. Friends, countrymen, newbies---lend me your ears. Now is the time for all newbies to come to the aid of their newbieness.

Ok lets be serious for a second.

Ok that's long enough.

Lots of times I don't post because I think my story would be too boring or I'll be in the middle of posting and all of a sudden think - hookairs - and I just hit the back button.

ROTFLOL! I'm more like ***********. I'll be in the middle of a post and think, "Oh who cares." and delete what I've just written. :p

sometimes I don't reply because my answer will not be pc enough, and I don't think I could take the backlash. There are times when I feel like the only conservative old fashioned person in the universe.

Honestly, I do that too like Laura and Maggie. When I get the nerve up to actually start a thread it is really something. Although not always a big announcement (ie. like Bucky and I taking our meds together  ;) )

Tiggeroo, that answer made me LOL because I'm an ol' stick in the mud, conservative, old person around here too.

Well, I solve the problem of not having enough nerve to start a thread by not starting a thread. . . (we should have a 'chicken' smiley) :teeth:

Oh. Well, my answer was close enough and I too have typed for - oh, literally minutes in the little blue box (while trying to ignore the mr & mrs annoying green and pink bouncy smileys which are always just visible out of the corner of my eye.....) only to decide either "hookairs" or "who cares" and delete it forever.

Ooh! and Dan Murphy, I see your reply now (I hit "preview reply" again and then I see you've posted while I was doing that) and hehehe you are not scared to post at all! Mr.-I-got-25,000-and-I'm-on-my-way-to-26,000-Murphy!). I think you better check to see if your pants are on fire!
