Does anyone feel like me, or am I the only crazy one. When I plan a trip, I usually start out with where I want to stay. By the time I get around to making the reservations, I'v already changed my mind at least twice. Once I make the reservation I will change my mind at least once more, and that is before discount codes come out. Well by the time the discount codes are available, I've usually upgraded to a deluxe or concierge.

This trip I initially planned on staying at POR-FQ, but then I thought I've stayed there before. I'll be traveling alone with 4 kids so I better stay at a monorail resort. So the contemporary it was. Then my Mom and sister said that they would come. The contemporary did not have AAA discounts available so, I decided to try WL.

I really think that I will not change from the WL. Hopefully:rolleyes:

BTW, I've changed my ressie with Universal twice now. I went from HRH to RP, and back to HRH now that AAA rates are coming up for my dates.

Please tell me I'm not alone.

I have changed my reservations soooo many times, from hotel to hotel, regular to concierge, to split stays. Im the worst!

I have RAD too... I've had it for years... over the last 10 years I have changed my resort atleast once per trip.. I can't help it.

I'm glad I know what it is now.. makes it easier..LOL... so to answer your question zippehsmom, may of us have RAD, you are not alone!

You are going to love WL, it's a beautiful resort and the themeing is perfect.. have a great trip!

i do this all the time. i have to admit though that i do not actually make it to the reservation process so the only thing i am changing is my mind. i start planning for vacations so early and everytime i read another review good or bad, i begin to rethink my choice. i have the same problem though with adding on to the vacation. the reason for this is that i start off planning a budget trip and as i get closer, i am so paranoid about saving to have a good trip, that i usually over save and then say to myself "oh what's another $300." and then i start thinking concierge, restaurants at every meal, and stuff like that. most of the time i come to my senses before completely spending all my savings.

this year is no different. i went back and forth before finally deciding on BWI. i was trying to keep the budget small as i was going to japan for 2 weeks before the disney trip. my travel companions have just informed me though that they want to postpone japan and go to africa in 2006. i of course was so excited. sad that i wasn't going to japan, but my mind was racing with all the other things i can do at disney with the extra money.

your right....it's a sickness! I KNOW!! BTW, you will love RP. i took my niece and nephew there this past june for a week and we loved it so much.

OMG!! My friends think I'm nuts, but I'm soooo glad to know I'm not the only one!!

Last summer when I was meeting a Floridian friend for a few days of Disney I had changed the resort every time I talked to her..she finally told me to let her know where we'd be staying when she picked me up at the airport.

I started with a POP ressie with an email code of $49, thinking a quickie getway for next to nothing.. then thinking about the great savings switched to AKL, then WL, then Poly and finally we stayed at GF!!! Had not stayed there before, but had stayed at all the others except WL. Loved it and if I ever get another email code I'll be back at GF in a heartbeat.

Well, have an email code now, but this time it's the POP for sure for another last minute trip..spent all the extra money for GF...but it was sooo worth it!::yes:: ::yes::

Most of us have RAD here. You are not alone. I had about 6 places in mind when I called for AP rates for our Jan trip. Alas, none ofthe 6 were available for the entire time. So, I went with CBR which had all of our days available. Then I called back because I really wanted AKL or WL and decided I would be willing to split my stay for some days there. So then it was CBR and AKL. But I really didn't want CBR, I wanted to try CSR. So, I called back and got CSR for some of the CBR days and added more days to AKL. But then I found a good rate for the Dolphin, so there went CSR because no way was I giving up AKL and I love staying so close to Epcot. So I think we are finally settled, unless of course I could get WL which was my first choice. And, I really really wanted to try CSR but my DH will KILL me if I try to get that back and cancel the Dolphin. See...RAD is alive and well here in Pennsylvania too. PS I am also hyper about getting there and CRO having messed up my reservations because I changed them so many times. So I will probably call to confirm them at least 2 more times before we leave. :hyper:

Thanks you guys! At least now I know there is a name for my disorder (RAD):)

Hi, my name is Shayla and I have RAD...

Actually, this upcoming trip is the first one I've waffled on. All the trips we've had previous, I've had a plan and stuck to it. But this time...

  1. Let's stay at the Yacht Club
  2. It costs how much?!? How about AKL?
  3. Swolphin's near Epcot, and there are bargains to be had.
  4. Naw, I really want to stay at AKL. Book it, Dan-o.
  5. Codes are out. Is Yacht available?
  6. No, but we'll upgrade from AKL standard to savanna.
    [/list=1]

And that's where we stay fer shur fer shur. Unless they offer us cheap concierge at check in.

    Kungaloosh!
    Morticia.

I am the one who coined the term RAD and yes.... it gets REAL bad around here!!! We switch around quite a bit. For our last trip, we were booked at AKL, then the Poly, then POFQ (which was wonderful!) I think the fun of WDW is trying all the resorts and restaurants. It makes each trip different and special. We are in the midst of deciding for November 2005. Right now we are thinking about POR (the only mod we haven't tried).

Once you decide on a resort, then start with dining (would that be DAD?)

Good luck!!!!

Hi Susy - I sure am glad you came up with RAD. I used to think I was the only crazy one out there!!! I am also glad Disney doesnt charge to change reservations or I would be in deep trouble! :D

It makes me fell good that there is a name for the disease my husband thinks I have. :earboy2: He gets so frustrated with me that he has asked me not to tell where we are staying until we are actually on the way. By then he is pretty sure that I won't be changing the reservation again!!!!!
