...all of your clothes are too big and you look like a total slob??? I just feel so miserable right now. I'm trying to get back on my weight loss journey, and it's hard to be motivated when you know you look terrible! All of my clothes are too big, and even if I had the money to buy more, I don't think I could! Why buy clothes when you are 'shrinking' and may not need them long?

What do you 'losers' do??? I need help!! ;)

WHEN that time comes (I'm so jealous of you that my dark brown eyes have turned green!) I plan to go to my local Goodwill store and buy some decent clothes for very little $ until I'm in a 10 (that's my dream, I'd be happy with a 12) and then I'll go buy a new wardrobe. I especially love the 50% off Saturdays at my local GW store!

I hope to have that problem soon, Tiffany! Why not shop the clearance racks now for at least a few things you can wear as you are losing? There should be some good prices right now, especially at places like Target or Walmart. They don't have to be the finest quality clothes because you won't need them for long!

One of my friends lost a lot of weight and what she did was buy one nice outfit when everything started getting baggy, so she would at least look pulled together and nice in that one outfit.

I like Carmen's Goodwill idea, too. That would be a good way to get something nice for not much $$$.

Oh, don't be jealous! I'm still wearing clothes from where I was pregnant 2 years ago! Granted that was at least 50 lbs. ago, but I've been saying for years..."I don't want to buy anything, I'm going to lose weight..." Now, if I can just stick to it!

Those are good ideas. I may have to make a trip to the Goodwill. I've never done that before, but I can check it out! ;)

I still think we need a "DIS clothes exhange"! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Tiffany, you just made me spit water all over my monitor! LOL LOL LOL. Go get some new clothes. You shouldn't be wearing clothes from when you were pregnant.

We need to start a clothing exchange. I have lots of 22's that are way too big now. Some of them are brand spanking new and have never been worn.

Ok,
Now I have visions of Kath spitting water all over her screen! LOL!

I agree, go get a few things. You deserve it. This way you have these new clothes to get you threw your next few pounds. You don't have to buy tons, just a few things. I went to walmart and bought a few shorts (enough for about a week) that fit and some really cute cotton shirts. They are like t-shirts but dressier, have a v-neck and are tighter fitting. Not your normal frumpy t-shirt. I wear them to work and for going places.

People noticed I loss weight once I stopped wearing the baggy clothes, my self esteem went up also.

All this spitting water might cause an electrical short on the WISH Board.

Go and get a few outfits to reward yourself of such hard work. You deserve it. We have to reward ourselves when we succeed, otherwise why succeed?

Tiffany, I absolutely agree with the others!

At EVERY size, I think it's very important to have at least a couple of outfits that fit correctly and that we feel good in! You don't need to spend a lot- a simple skirt or slacks and blouse from Target is so much better than wearing old maternity clothes!

You deserve to look good, for YOU!!!

Don't look at your WISH journey as just a march toward a magical day when you reach GOAL. In that mindset, you're not a winner until you reach the end. Instead, look at this as a constant and steady improvement.

If you stop losing weight right now, today, you are so much better off than when you started. It's not just about reaching some magic number you've set for yourself. You are a winner NOW, and you deserve to treat yourself like a winner, and to look like one!!!!

(Please don't make Kath spit on the screen anymore. Yuck!):p

a used clothing store. Clothes that fit make me feel good and I even started getting some compliments when others saw that I had lost some weight. Loved the words " those are too big" on you but like it even more now when I fit into a size I never ever thought I would fit into again!!!!!

Do look around for a used clothing store, Goodwill, etc. Our church runs one with 4 other churches and every Wed they put out new items. Generally there are people lined at the door for shop to open and some items are very trendy. Typically jeans are $2 - dresses $4 and name brands just slightly higher but a really good deal.

Check around bet there is someplace close to you.

Clothes swap sounds like a good idea too.

It happens for us guys too. Just a couple weeks ago I had to retire a pair of Eddie Bauer khakis when a co-worker referred to them as "clown pants":o

I am close to my goal weight wise but still am seeing changes as I up my workouts. I would normally buy more expensive clothes for work, but right now I'm trying to get through the summer in a few pair of Dockers.

Just think how great it is to have clothes that are too big rather than too tight. Good luck and keep up the good work!

Funny I should read this tonight because I was just starting to feel this way...My clothes are really beginning to get to loose on me and it is starting to make me feel bigger than what I am! Does that make sense? I look in a mirror and feel like a cow! When I am in Florida next week, I will be doing some major shopping...I hate feeling this way!
