Do you enjoy "parade of homes??"

DH and I LOVE going to parade of homes, and our city is having their annual one this past weekend and next. There are 34 homes on the "parade", and we visited 18 last Saturday. We plan to visit a few more this weekend.

As a young couple hoping to buy within the next 2 years, we find it to be helpful in coming to agreements on the things we like and don't like and such. Plus it's cheap entertainment!

And we get to dream a bit...

Do you enjoy them? Have you ever bought a home because of one?

I can't belive yours has 34 houses !! Ours have usually about 5 !!!

I like to go to them. We used to for the same reason you stated. We got ideas of what we each liked. Plus it's fun to dream!
I actually picked up a copy of a floor plan once because I liked it. We didn't know it at the time but within 6 months we transferred with my dh's job and built that house. Now it's six years later and we liked the floor plan very much. We didn't find anything like it in the existing houses we saw so we're building it again with a couple of improvements. I think it's going to be PERFECT!

I love to go to the Parade of Homes. I wish we had that many houses to go through. I think we have about 5-6 houses that we get to tour. It is so much fun to look and see the new designs and a good use of a Saturday!!!

We love going on the Parade of Homes here. I've probably been to everyone for the past twenty years. However, we haven't had one this year yet. I'm just hoping they decided to hold out for cooler weather.

Luv the Parade of Homes! We were there yesterday. In our town there is about 40-50 show homes. Planning on building next year so getting really excited!
