Do you drive, walk or take a shuttle to the park?

What is the preferred way for your family to get to and from the parks?

If you use the free shuttles, how often do they run and do you have to schedule a time to be on them generally? We had to do that several years ago when we stayed at the Buena Park Holiday Inn. LOVED the hotel, super clean, etc. but didn't like having to make a reservation for the shuttle going and coming back.

Thanks (and sorry for so many posts today!)

We always stay within walking distance of the parks. It makes a huge difference. Occaisionally we would take a shuttle back to our hotel but it was when it was waiting as we walked by the shuttle area. The new ART shuttles that serve all the local hotels now cost $2 per day per person. The Candy Cane Inn still has its own shuttle. I think there are a some other places farther away that still have their own shuttles, some of them need to be scheduled ahead of time. Check out these links and see all the places that are within walking distance.

One of the joys of the DLR experience is the ability to walk to the parks !:)

We usually drive, with free parking with AAA tickets.

Last time we went we stayed accross the street at Park Inn and we walked, that was nice. But for us $$ is key and we can usually get a good deal at Days Inn or by using priceline.
