With rising gas prices, I've noticed more people are driving cars rather than SUV's. What do you drive? I drive a car. DH has a pick-up truck. He spends more money in the tank.

I just turned in my 4Runner and got an Avalon (I work for this company). I am hoping the Avalon gets better with gas.

I drive an SUV, and my Dh drives a full size truck. In the summer, we will be buying a minivan (Toyota Sienna). With a new baby on the way, we need space.

ETA: I will always drive either a SUV or a minivan because I like sitting higher up. When I ride with friends who have cars, I feel like I'm too close to the road.

In the winter, I drive the SUV. I think they are very ugly, but it isn't worth fighting DH over it.

In the summer :sunny: , I drive a car.

The car is cuter and more zippy on turns, but the SUV is so much better on the snow.

We have cars.
Tweety, I don't know where you live, but I wish I saw a reduction in the number of SUV's and minivans in the Chicago area.

DW drives a midsized SUV (Cadillac SRX)

I just downgraded from a full size truck (Ford Supercrew) to a midsized SUV (Hummer H3) this week.

Both DH and I drive SUV. He wants another pick-up truck when it's time to say bye-bye to his. I'm in the market for another SUV. Both are 4 years old and have over 130,000 miles each.

I'm waiting to see if IVF #3 gives me a reason to buy either an AWD mini-van or an SUV with a 3rd row. :goodvibes

I don't care how high gas goes. I love my SUV and will always drive one. I have an Acura MDX.

I drive the MarriedManMobile, a Grand Caravan and probably will (or replacement models) for the foreseeable future.

It's the only vehicle we own. I hate driving it back and forth to work when it is just me, but I'm not buying a second vehicle just for that.

Oh sure, I could get that bike I've always wanted and put Mrs. AA on the back, but where do I get a sidecar big enough for 2 kids and a dog? :confused3

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee. It kills me on gas and I hate it, but I really don't have a choice at the moment because of the winter weather. Once I finish college I'll be getting rid of it...if it lasts that long. :rolleyes2

I drive a small SUV. Subaru Forrester. Decent on gas, sits me a little higher up, and goes great in the unpredictable weather here in NE. Plus it's got fabulous safety ratings.

I  my Subaru

We live in the city and I would have nothing but a SUV ( 2 jeeps now ) the roads are soooooo bad that the people on my Block are always replacing tires and getting front-end alignments.

DW also likes sitting higher. As for the gas we don't drive that much and do a lot of walking and carpooling.

98 Ford Explorer. It's paid off. Has been for a while. It's our "around toen" car, so gas isn't a huge issue, as a tank lasts a awhile because we don't go too far in it.

I drive a compact SUV and DH drives a mid-size car. As soon as it's paid off, he's switching to a compact car. I'm happy with my little SUV because it gets the same, if not a little better, gas mileage as the car does.

We really like our Hondas

I drive a Honda Odyssey, 6'4" teenager fits in it comfortably

DH - Honda Civic

DS - Honda Accord

Then there is "Big Ugly" the old GMC pick up used for Dump Runs & Christmas Tree Cutting

I drive a mini-van. DH drives a car

I drive a mini-van. Need it for hauling the children and their friends around. I drove Accords for many years and look forward to having another one some day when I am not a chauffer. DH drives a Lexus.

After 3rd DS was born, I lost all my coolness and bought a mini-van :teeth:

We had a car, but it took way too long to get the kids in their carseats. All three were squished together.
