Do you decorate your room for Mardi Gras?

I realize that this is and event mainly only here in LA and MS but I am going to be there during Mardi Gras week and I am just wondering if people go during this time do they decorate there room or are you from another state and you've seen someone's room decorated for MG.

I decorated my window in '06 when we stayed at CBR. It was fun! In '07, we stayed at the GF and I did not decorate at all- I was scared to stick anything on the door and there was no window that others would see.

This year, we are stayng at POP Mardi Gras week and I am planning on decorating with a combination of MG/Saints/LSU & DIS stuff!

We went Feb 2005 during Mardi Gras, stayed at OKW.

I did not see decorations, we did not bring any, but the jacket DH brought had some beads and doubloons in the pockets (he wore it while catching the Bacchus parade the night before we left for WDW

I can tell you DH was VERY popular with the ladies on the WDW bus that he dispensed beads and doubloons to...

You would have thought he was king of Bacchus or something, it was hysterical.

I am going to miss WDW at Mardi Gras again this year, but you have fun on your trip. Bring some supplies so you too can be a king/queen of the WDW crewe.

It really doesn't matter if anyone else decorates at Disney World for Mardi Gras. If you want to do it, do it. It think it would be great and I haven't lived in the New Orleans area for over twenty years (but still celebrate Mardi Gras every year).

I plan on decorating so if you will be at ASMu between 2/1-7 I will have a decorated window. I plan on getting a couple of MG mask to put in the window and hoping to find a string of mardi gras lights. Some beads and who knows what else when my mind starts putting things together possibilities are endless.

Well I bought my window decorations for the room. I bought a purple green and gold garland w/ mardi gras masks on them 3.96, a four pack of mardi gras jester pics 3.44 and I am trying to decide whether I should go back for the lights or not.

I am not decorating the room ... it would take up too much time from the fun stuff hahaha
I am packing a bunch of beads for the kids to wear and hand out though....
Their goal is to get Mardi Gras beads around Mickey

Well Kim it looks like you can go buy a LSU National Champions poster to put on your door

I'm from New Orleans but live in Dallas now. We met family in DW in 1997 for Mardi Gras. It was fun to see people on Mardi Gras day wearing purple, green and gold as well as beads.

Those of you going have a great Mardi Gras in Disney.
