Do you cover your pet with a blanket or throw?

My Boston Terrier LOVES to sleep under the covers. I don't cover her up, but she seeks out covers to burrow under. She sleeps in bed with us at night and has to be under the covers at night. Sometimes she gets to hot and has to get out, but most of the time she is clear under the covers.
Yep, she's spoiled ;)
I said I would never have a dog in the bed (DH was WORSE!) but I could not get this one crate trained at night, so I finally gave up after three weeks of sleeping on the couch trying..... sigh.

Both of mine sleep under the cover with us. Sadie, the older one, gets behind my back, walks down to about my waist, turns around and then crouchs down and crawls up until she's right behind my shoulders with just her head sticking out from under the cover.

Noel, my cat, won't sleep under any kind of cover.

So cute. :goodvibes

When we leave the house, our dog sleeps in the guest room bed, under the comforter and with his head on the pillows. It's cute, but I hate having to do more laundry.

no, our cats prefer to decide when they will get under the covers - they dig and paw at the covers for me to lift them up. (and don't get me started on the standing there deciding for five minutes while I hold up the covers and all my heat escapes!!!!). If someone else covers them, they won't stay.

:)

I lived through this for 22 years with one of our furbabies! Definitely, her decision and no way could I speed the process up or ignore her! In a way I miss it 5 years later because our current furbabies use the JUMP - PLOP - SINK - DEAD WEIGHT method of snuggling!

Sometimes, if I'm trying to bug him...he doesn't like it.

when we shave or dog Q she goes from the thick eskimo hair to nothing. When we take her to work she shivers in the air conditioning. So we cavoer her then.

But in winter, when we let their hair grow long, neither doggie likes to be covered.

Harry has several fleece throws that he uses when he is cool. If he is curled into a tight ball I cover him with one and he'll stretch out nice and comfy. When he gets too warm he gets up and walks around until the balnket falls off, then lays down again.

My horse gets a blanket in the winter if I keep her hair short for shows or anything. Also I live near woods so during deer season I have a bright orange one so no one mistakes her for a deer because she is a chestnut. (dunno if this would ever happen, but its good to be safe).

My chihuahua loves being covered when I'm chilly she is so its either a shirt or she will crawl under a blanket! too cute!

This is Wally. He gets up under the covers and sleeps with us almost every night. This is how he ends up in the morning. :rotfl2:

Ted is just recently gone from us...over The Rainbow Bridge :(... but he hated being covered.

He loved to lie on the cool hardwood floor.

In his last few days, about all he would let me do is put a pillow under his head when he was lying on the floor.

NO! When I put a blanket over them, they take it as a game to tear out of it, literally. The bigger dog prefers a cool place, so she often sleeps in the bathtub. When it gets cold, she'll sleep on the floor by our bed. The little dog sleeps between my feet normally, but when it gets cold, she's been coming up between DH and me.

My furbabies don't like being covered, but as soon as fall hits, my tom is always nestled into me.

No, my cat knows how to keep himself warm. It normally involves sleeping on the chair next to the radiator.

I have 3 long-haired Chihuahuas (all rescued from horrible puppy mills) who they love their blankets and pillows.

Whenever it is cooler temperatures, I like to throw their blankets in the dryer so after they have their bath, they have a snuggly-warm blanket to curl up in. They are not spoiled or anything . . .

I was trying to change the sheets on the bed and do house cleaning when I made the wacky mistake of bathing them and putting their blankets on the bed. Needless to say, the room or sheets did not get tended to until they were dry and out of their snuggle zones!

My min pin always buries herself in the throws we have on the couch..she sleeps at night under a blanket..and if she loses it..she will whine till she gets recovered

also has a heating pad she lays on when it is "cold" - Florida here, so it isn't really ever cold!

Chloe loves to burrow in blankets and piles of clothes. She gets all snuggled up and toasty warm and then takes a nap.

Maddie makes her own decisions, in the warm weather, she sleeps on top of the covers, in the colder weather, she bumps my arm til I lift up the covers for her to crawl under. My kitty, on the other hand, just sleeps on my pillow, curled around my head, regardless of the season.
