Do you collect Christmas Villages? Help getting started

I need to show DH these pics so he doesn't think his wife is the only one that goes over the top. :lmao:

Gorgeous photos!! I'd love to see more to get some ideas on how to display them-I've never owned a Christmas village before.

I think I'm going to start out with 2 buildings from the New England collection-Berkshire House (because we live close to the Berkshires) & maybe the school or a store. Though I'd love to own the skating pond as well!!

Ohh I have one! I have the North Pole village and my mom has the Dickens Village. We have a big bay window in our family room so that is where we display the village. The last couple years I've put mine up instead of the Dickens village. As you can probably tell from the pictures I have way more accessories than houses, though I'd like to get a new building this year since I haven't gotten one in a while.

I have 3 different villages.

My main collection is the Dept. 56 Christmas in the City village. That's the one I picked out that we add pieces to each year. I usually get my new pieces off of eBay since prices are much lower there.

My aunt gave me her Dept. 56 Dickens Village collection when she moved to a smaller house. I usually put it up too--just in a different place than the other villages.

I also have some of the pieces for the now long-retired Dept. 56 Heritage Disney Parks Village. I need 2 more of the buildings and one more person piece to have the whole set, but the 2 buildings I still need are super pricey because they weren't in production very long. So who knows if I'll ever get those.

In the past I've displayed my villages on various tables in my apartment. But now that I have a house, I'm hoping my dad will help build me a display table.

I have this one, too with the same problem.;)
