Do you collect anything "wierd"?

Cindy, your DH's birds are exactly representative of the reason that we collect them! They are beautiful!!! You have every right to be proud of him!

Is that a stellar jay above the owl?

The quail fighting is my favorite piece. He is very talented! I can't wait to show his website to my DH.

I guess mine isn't really weird unless you ask my DH---I collect Anchor Hocking American Prescut pieces(some people call it the Star of David pattern)

My mom had 2 pieces she was going to get rid of so I took them--Did not know that years later I'd still be hunting down pieces--And that I would not have a complete set! LOL! I search in second hand stores mainly and every once in a while my MIL will send a package with pieces she has found. I've looked on ebay but the prices are ridiculous, for some reason people think this glass is worth more than it is! I guess they don't realize that it was mass produced for over 30 years!!!!

I collect Wilton cake pans. I have about 200 cake pans in my basement right now. I haven't made a character cake in the longest time, but I still buy them.

Bad thing is storing them. They take up alot of room, I have about 7 big computer boxes full of them.

I collect bird feathers, Disney Pins, and buttons.

shrunken heads....I'm always looking to expand my collection :teeth:

I collect pens. Its kind of weird because I never use my pens I just keep them in a bag I have.

I collect Scottish Terrier items. I have figurines, stuffed animals, cast iron door stops, planters, pajamas and pins. Love anything with my Scotties.

For Disney collectibles, hubby focuses on the ducks, and I collect the dogs, especially Lady and the Tramp items.

Photographs of old, abandoned houses and barns in severe disrepair (especially black & white photos).

Also, photographs of unusual/beautiful gravestones - even if I don't know the people.

Not really weird--I collect Disney snowglobes and giraffes.

I collect piggy banks. I put all my coins in them with each one having a specific type of coin that goes in them (less sorting). I particularly like the kinda naughty ones. ;)

I also collect rolling pins. I just can't leave them at a garage sale. So I bring them home with me. My mom says I run a retirement home for rolling pins. I just love how they are all a little different and have over 40 now.

I collect things shaped like hands. DH asked me to confine them to the kitchen and so I try to make them functional. I have a 'thumbs up' :thumbsup2 that holds my keys, and a glove mold to hold sponges, for example.

That's weird? I thought everyone collected those. :confused3

I collect interesting wine bottles (I empty them first. :teeth: ), Disney magnets, tea pots shaped as things, and cow figurines.

My DW and I collect Penguins - plush penguins, ceramic penguins, pictures/paintings of penguins, movies with penguins in them, ovenmits with penguins, christmas lights shaped like penguins... you get the idea. :teacher: So far we have over 200+ penguin items with only one duplicate (a gift from family a few Christmases ago of one we already have... so now they are a couple, haha)

Oooh, I like penguins!!

I collect vintage Crayola crayons. I've got a whole boxful- people sent them for free when I posted in a magazine I was looking for them.

I have a collection of donkeys, a hold over from my days as a Young Democrat.
While working at our local museum, I started to collect antique bonnets and antique underwear. I use them to give a presentation on the History of Underwear which is a big hit at service organization, church lady, etc... meetings.
