Do you carry your refillable mug to the park with you?

The last time we went, in 2005, we carried our mugs in a backpack and on the way back to the room we stopped at the drink station and filled up. Do most people bring the mugs to the parks or do you just go back to your room and then go to the food court or wherever the drink station is to fill up? I guess I am trying to find a way to avoid having them with us at the park all day but don't know if I want to get back to the room and then have to go back out again after a long day at the parks. What do you do?

we usually take one, I like to have a coffee on the way to the parks, but we have a stroller so it is easy to throw it in the bottom. DH wishes I wouldn't take it b/c it is one more thing to take out of the stroller before folding it up to get on the bus so maybe I won't be doing it this year.

We usually take it with us. A hot chocolate fill up in the AM and a coke or juice fill up on the way back to the room.

I carry mine and when it's empty I keep it in my backpack..it's there when I need it for ice for later on...like the pp stated, I fill it before I leave and fill it for our afternoon rest time..then before I leave to go back to the park later on...It saves me lots of $$..

Does the refillable mugs have handles? I think the only way I'd bring one, is if I can strap it to my fanny pack.

I don't take the mugs to the park just because I don't like to carry it around all day. It would be very convenient to take it though.

Never take it with us. We usually take a couple of bottled waters with us to the parks. I enjoy going back to our resort and going for a walk to get my mug refilled...even after all the walking all day. It is my down time.

Yes, we bring them. At the table service meals, if we have drinks left in our glasses, we pour them into our mugs to take with us. It's great to have them when we get off the bus at the resort. We just fill them up on the way back to the room.

I woudn't want to carry it around all day, but might toss it in a stroller. We've had both options.

I kind of think it would be nasty though to refill it after it's been sitting dirty all day in the heat. Yuck! The only thing they provide at the food courts is the option to rinse it.

We did in July only to the first park we hit after buying them taking drinks with us. What a hassle to carry. We didn't bother taking them the rest of the trip. When we got back to the room one of us would go refill our mugs while the other stayed in the room with our DS. Yeah inconvenient but not a huge deal.

Some days I did take my mug to the parks. It made it nice to have it with me when I arrived back at the resort after a long day in the parks.

I usually ended going back to the food court though since I wanted more to drink after finishing off one thing or another though, so it really only saved me one trip to the food court.

We have always had ours filled w/ coffee for the morning bus ride to the parks and then rinse them out and hang them on our backpacks. At the park we fill them w/ water from the fountains instead of buying $2 water. It is nice to be able to fill them back up on the way back to the room.

We drive so we leave ours in the car. I like to have my morning diet coke. Normally Diet Pepsi but of course they sell coke products.

Yes, it has a handle. I take dish soap with me and clean it before bed or if I want something different, I rinse it in the VERY hot water at the food court..I don't take it every day, but most everyday.

Some days when getting up early, I took it filled with coffee. Most days I don't like to carry one more thing but its not too bad in my backpack since I keep it very minimal.

Same here!
I rinse it out as soon as we get to the park, stick a papertowel in it and drop it in the backpack until we get back to the resort that night. Usually once we're back in the room, no one wants to go back out to make a run to the food court.

We never take ours to the parks.
To much hassle when trying to ride, and I enjoy the downtime walk from the room to the food court after my wife and I get back to the resort.
We usually do the dining plan, and have found that we can use the counter service for breakfast, have a snacky type meal during the day, and then dinner at night without being hungry, so we don't even bring the mugs down for breakfast.

I usually get a cup or two of coffee for each of us first thing in the AM whle my wife is still sleeping, and yes, I do occasionally walk down to the French Quarter for Beignets as a special treat.
