Just curious if anybody believes in angels? I do now, my youngest DD has a very special gaurdian angel looking after her. On January 8, 2005, my grandmother passed away. I was about 2 months pregnant with DD Hayley. Well ever since gramma (its the way the family spells grandma) passed away, I believe she has been in my house. Call me crazy, but I remember a conversation that I had with her before she died that when it was her time I wanted her to come back and flicker my lights 3 times so I know it was her, and the day right after her passing I was sitting in my dinningroom and my kitchen lights flickered exactly 3 times. Now I just had pictures recently developed and I found this one picture that looked strange to me, and I believe its my gramma reaching down at Hayley. The other night when DD spent the night at DH"s mothers house, his aunt got up around 1am to feed DD and she freaked out when she saw a figure of a person standing next to Hayley's crib, when she blinked her eyes the figure left. My gramma is always around Hayly.

I just want to say I have goose bumps up and down my arms right now.

Never thought I would until my mother passed away. She passed away the morning after my son had run 107 fever and had a seizure. When we came home from the hospital (2am) there was a cold feeling in the room and a large black figure hovered in the doorway. I held my baby tight and said "do what you have to, I'm not done with my son yet and you can't have him". My mom died 6 hours later.

I most definately believe in Angels.

Your children are absolutely gorgeous. And that picture definately looks like arms reaching out to Hayley.

I totally believe in angels, but I don't think people can turn into them. The bible states that God already has his army of angels and they are very terrifying to see. In every instance when someone sees an angel, the angel first says to them, "Do not be afraid." Not that some humans aren't terrifying to look at...but I'm digressing.

Humans are different than angels-angels aren't human-they are God's warriors and he has a set amount of them. As humans we aren't able to become angels. If you study and believe the bible.

Having said that, I do believe in spirits/ghosts who have passed, that are near us. When I was 8 mos. pregnant with DS6, I had a dream where my grandpa (who'd passed 4 years prior) said to me in the dream, "I've seen your son and he's really cute. But there's something not right with him."

I woke up terrified. We had tried to find out if he was a boy or girl during the ultrasound, but couldn't tell so after the dream I was sure he'd be a boy and he was. There was/is something about my son that isn't right-he has a disability, but to look at him, you'd never know it. Not to brag, but he is very good looking and that's not just a proud mom-so many people comment to me about how unusually good looking he is. So Gramps was right on all counts.

I read somewhere that spirits reach out to us in dreams and I do believe that. I also believe that your gramma is around Hayley.

I just went back and looked at the pictures you posted. That first picture really looks as if an elderly person is reaching out towards Hayley. Wow! Thanks for posting that.

I know, but angel sounds so much better and nicer then spirit or ghost. I don't want to refer to my gramma as a ghost,it just sounds like something that haunts people and gramma dosn't haunt us. I prefer to use angel, but I know what your saying.

Oh, I see. I didn't realize that that's what people meant when they said that. I am a very concrete person and take things super literally. Sorry if I offended you. I didn't mean to. I think angel does sound nicer than ghost, I never thought of it that way. But spirits or ghosts can be good (as I'm sure you know) your gramma is a good one. That picture is amazing. I can see muscle definition in it.

I do believe in Angels. They protect us everyday in big and small ways. That picture is precious.

Don't worry I wasn't offended. Yeah they can be good and gramma is definatly a very good spirit.

I don't believe in angels (either the biblical definition or the one you're using) or in ghosts, spirits, etc. It is a cool picture though, and I'm glad it brings you comfort and happiness. :flower:

I kind of wish I did believe in that sort of thing. It seems like a nice sort of thing to believe - especially your story. Hope I didn't offend!

always have believed. we believe that my daughter's guardian angel intervened on her behalf last may. my daughter was riding her bicycle and fell onto the street, initialy we thought she may have sprained or suffered a minor break in her arm. a trip to the emergency room for an xray revealed that at some point during her life my daughter suffered a bone anuerism in her arm that resulted in her entire humerus (the large upper bone in the arm) ceasing to produce bone growth. her upper arm bone was basicly a soda straw like structure (thin outer layer of bone-nothing inside). within 3 weeks she had bone graft surgery to correct the problem. had we not found out when we did her upper arm could have shattered beyond repair.

my daughter is convinced her guardian angel pushed her off of her bicycle so that someone would be able to see what was going on inside her arm.

Amy brought that picture to where I work and we didn't tell anyone what we thought. Everyone was a little hesitant to say what they thought, but they all ended up saying a ghost. I know Amy prefers to say angel and that was what my mom was and is  ;)

I definitely believe in angels. When my DD was 6 years old she told me an angel had been in her great grandma's hospital room and would be coming for her. Gran died that next day and when my DD got out of school she told me that the angel took Gran to heaven while she was eating lunch in school. There was no way she could have known Gran died at 11:57AM right during lunch. She has seen angels right before 2 other relatives died also. She told me the angel's are always relatives of the soon to be deceased coming to lead them to heaven. She just knows who they are, they have no face just soft white or yellow auras. What 6 yo uses that word? She has told me she has been to heaven and has described several things. So do I believe? You bet I do.

I also believe in angels or spirits. I've seen my great-grandmother standing at the foot of my bed.

Great picture! I can definitely see your gramma's arms.

Cool pic.

And like LinnieThePooh, I believe in angels but that people do not turn into angels. I believe there is a spirit world with angels and demons all around that we can't see. I don;t believe in guardian angels as in "I have a guardian angel, you have a guardian angel" type of thing but I do believe that angels intervene and do guard but just not that we each have our own.
Neat story and I beleive babies and very small child could share a ot with us if they could tell us. Looks like your DD even sees though arms coming to hold her. (look at her eyes!)

Wether you call them Spirits, Ghosts or Angels, they do exist. I'm sorry you lost your Mom so soon before the birth of your youngest child, but she is there, watching over her.

One of my stories is this: My father died October 22, 1999. My Ex SIL was pregnant with my neice at the time. Daddy knew he wasn't going to be around, and told me that he would watch out for her. Sarah was born on Valentines day. When Sarah was 2.5, she moved in with my Mom (her grandma) and began to talk to her invisible friend. A little while later, when she could speak better, she saw a photo of my dad. "Why's Billys photo in the album?" she asked. I smiled. "That's Grandpa." I answered. "I know, he's here." she told me. My daddy kept his promise.

I have seen him my self on a few occasions, especially after his death, when I was having a very hard time with it. So Yes, I believe in Angels, GHosts or spirits, what ever name you want to give them. To me they're all the same. They're all someone who loved us and want the best for us.
