Do you attend the church you got married in???

Married in the church grew we both grew up in. Up until a few years ago, the building (from the late 100's) was shared by two congregations- United Church of Christ and Ev. Lutheran. DH was U.C.C. and I was Lutheran (similar). The Lutheran Church raised money to build their own church just up the road because it was growing so rapidly, now only the U.C.C. is in "our" church.

I never cared for the pastor that married us, and soon after DD was baptised we stopped attending. I hear he has left that church, retired, but it's a good 30 minutes from what we now call home. I've gone to a couple of other churches since, but haven't found one that I really liked.

No, because we got married in the church that was my family's the whole time I was growing up. I was baptized, made my 1st Communion and Confirmation there, and got married there. DH and I moved out of the parish, but my parents still go to church in the church I got married in.

When we decided to get married we wanted DW's uncle to marry us but he lived to far away to get married in his church. So we looked around for a church that would let us use their sanctuary but bring in a minister. Not an easy proposition. We did find a church that would let us do that and since we didn't have a regular church at that time decided to try them out. We did not like the church at all - but we did get married there. We just never went back after the ceremony. :)

We were married in the Church that my DH was baptized in, all of our kids were baptized in, I was baptized in, and we still attend. :)

We were married (on the HOTTEST day of the year) in Sue's home church. It just so happens that my dad was the pastor at that church, so he was the one that performed our wedding ceremony. We've been back to that church a few times. My mother-in-law still attends there regularly and, since retirement, my mom and dad live nearby and attend there as well. But it's just not practical for us to drive an hour to/from church when we have a wonderful church and congregation just a couple of miles from our home.

We were married in the Church I attended through my teen and young adult years. Coincidentally, it was the same church that my parents-in-law were married in, and my husband was Baptized there as well.

When my son was born, we considered having his Baptism there too, but decided to do it in the Church nearest our then-new home.

I'm glad we chose where we did because we have since become active parishoners in it.

We attended it for 12 years after our wedding, even for 7 years after we had moved to the city across the river. Finally when we moved to our current house we realized we were NOT moving back to my hometown, and found a church of the same denomiination about 2 min. from home (helpful when DH and the kids are ALL sound sleepers).
Unfortunately 18 months ago our wedding church (where both DDs were also baptized) had a fire, and they eventually tore down the sanctuary to rebuild--I drove by one day and almost passed out! Wish I had a brick or something to remember it by, since we had so much history there. They built a real fancy one to replace it, but it's just not the same.
