Do You Apologize To Your Pets?

I was walking down the hall with a laundry basket this morning, and Charlie (see below) walked right in front of me. I didn't see him, and kicked him a good one. I felt so awful and immediately started following him to apologize, but he seemed cautious and confused. Poor guy!
Do you apologize to your pets?

I apologize to my dog when I have to chain her up when I go to work... I feel bad, but I don't want to come home to my dog being hauled off by animal control cuz she gets out of the fence

I always talk to my boys (2 cats) they are my babies. I accidently hit my one cat in the head with my shin - he was walking out of the closet as I was walking in - head right into the shin - I of course told him sorry, sorry and made she he wasn't hurt even though my shin was killing me!!

Yes, and if you dont believe me, ask Spencer! I talk to him and he talks back too! Jake, however...he just cant hear me talk to him anymore...poor guy!

Of course I do! I will get down in their face and rub them and tell them how sorry I am if I trip over them ot kick them by accident. I don't know if it works, but I don't want them to think I did it on purpose!

I talk to them like I talk to the rest of the family. My dogs get up and move (they are huge) when I say excuse me or hey get outta the way! They are blessed when they sneeze and apologized to when I accidentally trip over them and almost kill myself.

That's exactly it...my dog is a member of my family!!

Wow it's good to see you back! I so enjoyed all the photos of Spencer and his activities with sticks, trees and other things....and of course is costumes!

OMG! My dog knows the same thing. In fact when my husband says"move" to him he stays right where he is. I then tell my husband to just be polite and say excuse me. When he does my dog moves. LOL

Have not seen you in AGES. How are Spencer and Jake? I would love to see a photo of the two of them. I so loved the way Jake used to look like he just tolerated Spencer. LOL!
