Do you and your spouse have different fav DVC resorts?

I was just wondering, actually hoping I'm not alone. DH loves OKW, doesn't want to stay at any other on-site. I like it there, but it isn't my favorite, BCV is. So we solve it this way-we go together for a week in May/June, staying at OKW. Then I go solo to BCV for a few days during the Christmas season. For him, once a year to WDW is enough, for me there is no "enough"! So I was wondering, does anyone else have this dilema with their spouse? If so, how do you handle it?

What sold DH on DVC was the VWL. We live in northern MN and it looks like home. My favorite is anything that DOESN'T look like MN!

DH always gets a car, and wasn't crazy about the parking when we visited the DVC properties. So I think when we stay at OKW it may become his favorite if he can park by the room.

In the two years we have been members we have traveled together once a year plus my cousin and I have gone a second time. Ditto that DH thinks once a year is enough but for me there is no "enough!"

While we both love VWL, my DW was a bit reluctant to try other DVC resorts. When we stayed at BWV, she enjoyed it but VWL will always be "home" for her.

I am looking forward to sampling all of the DVC resorts, while DW wants to just stay at VWL every year.

So we don't really have different favorite resorts, just one of us is more willing to try new places!

Just bought into DVC but stayed at OKW 2 years ago with a 4yo, 2yo, and 1yo - we felt totally pampered by the room to stretch out. Not to mention the master suite with Jacuzzi. We had visited at least 4x prior, staying at Port Orleans and Contemporary, but thought nothing compared to OKW. Now our new home resort is BCV, and we'll visit for the first time in Mar. I'm prepping DH that the BCV will be smaller than the OKW 1Br, but I'm still thinking he'll like the location at BCV best of all. Can't wait to lay eyes (and head, shoulders, knees and toes, etc) on Stormalong Bay!

I'm lucky. DH and I both like HH the best overall, and OKW the best when we're at WDW.

Maybe we're just creatures of habit? Whatever the reason, it's a good thing, since these are the two resorts where all our points are.

DW likes BWV best. She likes being close to the action. I'm a VWL fan. Wilderness. Could any two resorts be more different?

DH fav is BWV-location, location, location
mine is VWL- oh the theming- It is like home for us too but we don't live in a log home, and we see palm trees everywhere we go at WDW so it's a wash. And we do own at both so 2 trips a year, one at each one if we can get in.

Very interesting question. I think that depends whether or not you are including Vero. Our favorite on-site DVC resort is definitely VWL, but my wife may pick VB if you include that.

My wife loves bwv,I love the golf at vera,my kids love non dvc all stars pools and games rooms.

My DH loves the Boardwalk. He wants to stay no one else. I would like to try VWL (our home resort) and know I will love it. We are a MK family and I love the northwest. Can't wait to see what I like more.

We both like OKW(our home resort)for its "laid back" feel and large room size. We have stayed at BCV and BWV as well, and have liked them. We have seen,but never stayed at, VWL and VB. We both liked them as well, and felt that we would be very happy to stya at either.

I guess we just like them all!!!!! They all have their special "perks", which is why we LOVE the DVC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My DH Loves OKW and would use all our points at this resort and
although I Love it too, I would rather be at BWV. Maybe it's because that was where we were when we decided to purchase DVC.
We added on @ BCV due to location, but I do not see the appeal of SAB that everyone else does. I will give it another chance though.

I think we like VB the best, but if you limit it to WDW then we're both avowed OKW fans. Being real live city people we like parking in front of our house and even though the design is your typical cookie-cutter suburban everything looks the same bland "architecture", we like the design of the place. Maybe it's the pixie dust that does it.

VWL is my favorite while my wife prefers BCV. It is good we own at both.

My DH and I both love BCV because its quiet yet close to the action. Oh, and the pool, best on property.

But, we both want to try all of them. We loved VWL too. BWV felt too commercial for our tastes but it has its own appeal. We are looking forward to trying SSR and OKW.

We own BWV and VWL, but have only stayed at BWV, HHI and OKW so far. That will change next week when we get to add VWL and BCV to our list, so perhaps (but not likely) these opinions will change.

My husband wants to stay only at OKW. He doesn't dislike the other resorts. He just likes parking right in front of our room Thankfully, he will stay wherever, but it won't be like OKW to him

I have LOVED each resort that we have stayed at equally, so I have no clear favorite. They all have good and bad points, and so far, I am happy wherever we end up. I do try to mix up our trips each year to try new resorts or stay at ones we did not stay at the previous trip

I can (based on availability of course) stay at any DVC resort on or of property! That is one of the best things to me about DVC-the variety! LOVE IT!!!
