Do you all wash new Disney clothes?

I know this is a silly question, but I have gotten some T-shirts and PJ's for the kids and I was going to wash them before we leave. But if I do then they won't have tags on them giving them that new look. Do you still wash them anyway?

always. The dies that they use can cause breakouts. Most new clothes say wash before wearing now because of the dies. Also the clothes touch many hands before they get to you and do you really want your kids wearing clothes that many people have handled without washing them first.

All clothing is fumigated before coming into the US. So if you want your clothes to still have the fumigation on them, don't wash them :) However, if you're like me and would really rather not have all that fumigation on them....wash your clothes!!!

This is, of course, assuming they are not made in the US, because it's very very rare to find clothing that IS made in the US! Not one item of clothing in Bloomingdales and Macy's is made in the US I know, but maybe some Disney stuff is. Check your tags. If it's not in the US, remember the anti-bug juice you're putting on your kids if you don't wash them!

Eeewww, but thank you for the info! I knew about the dyes, and have always insisted on washing our clothes before we wear them because my dh and dk's have sensitive skin. My MiL thinks I'm nuts, and wants my dd and ds to wear the clothes she buys them right away without washing because they look so crisp and pressed. Now I have a reason for pre-washing she might actually be able to understand.
