I am planning on trying to book a Wishes cruise in late October....do they get snatched up as quickly as the Illuminations cruises?

Not as of this morning. They had open availibility for Wishes. The gal making our reservations told hubby they had availibility for that after she didn't hit accept fast enough for Illuminations. It was 710 when he got off the phone. Don't know if that helps but I think Illum goes faster.

What's horrible is that I have to make 1900 for 12 and the Wishes cruise for the same night!! Maybe I can enlist someone to help me so we are both on the phone....

we are having DD's birthday party there and we need that cruise!

A little word of encouragement on the Wishes Cruise...we were able to get one over Spring Break on Easter Night less than 6 wks before the date. I found out about the Illuminations cruise a bit too late from this board and I think we decided to go to WDW about 80 days before the trip anyway so 90 days was out the window before I even knew this was possible. I decided it can't hurt to say a prayer and call every day. I didn't get up early, I called after 9pm when my cell phone minutes are free and I called 5 or 6 times. The last time I called I had her check for Wishes Cruises too and lo and behold I got one. I really believe that for my family Wishes was a better choice than Illuminations because my son has very sensitive ears and my daughter has a very sensitive nose and I've heard that while it's more exciting...it's louder and sometimes the smoke blows at you. The Wishes Cruise was a beautiful, peaceful, emotionally moving cruise for us. I think getting the Wishes Cruise was one of those things like you don't always get exactly what you pray for but you DO get exactly what is best for you. Have a great time and good luck with your plans! :goodvibes

Just did the Wishes Cruise last Saturday and it was wonderful. I was a great way to start our first night.

They don't fill up as quickly as Illuminations and I wonder why becuase it is so peacful and relaxing.

We had the birthday cruise and I have never had such a better tasting cake.

It is well worth the money and a lot of fun. :flower:

Does the birthday cruise cost alot more than the regular Wishes cruise? I'm considering it for DS's birthday in October. Thanks

The regular cruise is around $140 and the birthday cruise was $220. For the extra we had the boat decorated with balloons and a banner. There was a cake and drinks-pop & water. My girlfriend paid the extra since it was her daughter's birthday and I asked her after it she felt it was worth it and she said yes. I would definately recommend it also. It was a lot of fun and a great memory. :)

I actually called on fri when the hours came out for september to switch my cruise. I had booked for a night without wishes because of NOJ and I was able to switch to the next night. I actually couldnt believe it and I was pleasantly surprised. I also snaged one for last year about 4 weeks before. And I agree with making the cruise ressie first and then calling about the dinner.

They go quickly! I wasn't able to get one last year (first week of November). Got thru at 6:58 this morning and got one for 10/1. My sister tried also (got thru at 6:59) and didn't get one. She told the operator what she wanted, was put on hold and then told at 7:04 that they were all gone. The operator that I had was very nice and also booked my dinner reservation for that night. Good luck! :)

stimpy - what date are you looking for??

I was thinking of Oct 6 for DS's birthday. We've done the Illuminations one about 4 times and never did the Wishes cruise. I think it'll be a nice change and something special for him :)

Good Luck getting your ressies!!! :wizard:

Remember Oct 6th is a MNSSHP night and they show Fantasy in the Sky and not Wishes.

Thanks for the reminder! I did forget it's MNSSHP that night. (We're going 10/2) I guess they would still do a fireworks cruise though that night, right?
