Do we need reservations for sit down restaurants at Universal like you do at WDW?

We are going to be at Universal for 3 days a week before Christmas. I have reservations for Emeril but I don't have any others. I have read that you can simply walk up and usually only have a short wait at all of the sit down restaurants. Is this true?

It is correct

No 180 days here, but if you really want to make sure you have a seat you can make reservations the day of, but in most cases it won't be needed.

Just to add...there is a kiosk outside the theater at CityWalk where you can make reservations...if you wish.
