Do We Need Express Passes in June?

My family is considering a short trip to Universal/IOA in June. We plan to visit the parks on Thursday, June 23rd and Friday, June 24th. I am trying to keep the trip as inexpensive as possible, so we plan to stay at an off-site hotel. Do you think that I will need to buy the express passes? I do not know what the crowds will be like in June. I have seen crowd predictor websites for Disney, are there any for Universal/IOA? Thanks!

Those days on the express pass price schedule are right in the middle. I would get to the parks early and do as much as you can and decided then if you want to purchase.:thumbsup2

I agree and June is the begining of peak season so it may get crowded very quick :thumbsup2

So that means that you can purchase Express Passes in the park adding it to the ticket you purchased previously? If that's the case, that is good to know. We're going in September, and I don't want to spend the extra $ for them if we don't need them. Great tip!

Park tickets and Express Plus passes are separate so they can't be combined. But yes...you can purchase EPs whenever you want. I would recommend waiting until you arrive to see what the lines are like.

::yes::::yes::

Thanks! Not buying those early, only to find out that we don't need them, will save us a lot!

The only potential downside to this strategy, which I still fully endorse, is that the prices of the Express pass may increase between now and then. Just throwing it out there....

Definitely something to consider, but I think I'll give it a shot. Seems like a lot of vets, including yourself, would do it that way; so, I think I will to.

Does it still get crowded to the point where they close the area? We are considering going the 1st week of June. How are crowds then? Are Express Passes accepted at these attractions?

Yes, they can close it. Crowds moderate to heavy. Only Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff take Express at WWoHP.
