We are not staying on site--will we be able to eat at some of the resturants in the parks in the eveing? I now that with the dining plan you have to make reservations--we are going next week. Will the wait be long? OR should we have a reservation?

If you know where you want to eat make some reservations now. Summer is a busy time, not only will you find long waits many restaurants are booked and will not take walk ups.

I would make some reservations .. ADRs .. asap. You will be waiting a long time with hungry kids.

The number is 407-WDW-DINE.

Just so you know, you do not have to make ADRs on the dining plan, it's just a good idea for anyone.

Even without the dining plan you need to make ADR's for most sit down dinners. Lunch could be a little easier for a walk in , but don't count on that either.

Good Luck! :thumbsup2

Does the dining plan work if you stay at an offsite (non-disney) hotel?

You can not get the dining plan staying offsite.
