Do we all have to be present to check in?

I was just wondering aboutthis because we will have a car rental and I was thinking that my Dh could drop me off with the kids and luggage, return the car and come back on the shuttle or by taxi.

First of all, what does he need to come back into the terminal? He couldn't even tell you the name of the ship

Secondly, after he drops us off, can I check us all in while he returns the car? Does he actually have to present himself to the check-in desk or can he meet up with us in line?

I just cruised in October. DH took the car back and returned with just his license. While he was taking the car back, I checked us in (I had his birth certificate) and went and stood in line. When he arrived, we went up to the Cast Member that checked me and the kids in and I told her that this was my husband. He showed his license to the CM and that was it!

Make sure you get DH to buy you something nice for all your hard work of checking everyone in

He will need a picture ID to check in at the guard station outside the terminal.......They probably won't give you his KTTW card until they verify him at the check in desk when he returns from taking back the rental car......Andy
