Do wands fit in lockers?

We plan to do olivanders first, then rides. A friend recently told me she doesn't know if wands fit in the lockers, and that using the lockers is a pain. It's just DD8 and I, I don't have. A lot of bags to carry but I definitely want her to have her wand to use as we explore.

Yes, wands fit in lockers. Lockers are easy to use: always go to the back of the locker area since people tend to crowd near the entrance and use your knuckles to tap on the touch screen as it works better.

Yes and no. All the wands will fit in the lockers, some at an angle; but if she gets a longer wand, the box doesn't fit well. Also, if you have a large bag or jackets, of course. We had a tiny backpack, a red coke cup, and 3 wands. On the first day, we had to get 2 lockers, because we had all 3 wand boxes, and the longest box got a bit smooshed when I had to force the door shut :rolleyes1
On the second day, we left all the wand boxes in the hotel, and everything fit in the locker, as long as we put the longest wand in first and everything else around it.
It's really not too bad (we ride every ride & used the lockers all day, everyday).
I wonder if you could get the wand box sent to your room and keep the wand with you? I might have to check that, hehe

Are you staying at an on-site resort by chance? If so, they do package delivery like WDW does. They'll send the bag back to your resort, and you'll have it in your room by noon the next day. Even faster and better than Disney!

Otherwise, I don't recall any ride lockers where it wouldn't have fit. We used the lockers frequently and found them easy enough. The only one where it was a pain was on Ripsaw Falls because you have to pay for the locker - you aren't required to use it, but I certainly wanted to because you get soaked!

Also, I'd suggest using YOUR finger vs your daughter's to scan at the lockers. For whatever reason, they do seem to have harder time reading the kids fingerprints. My theory is that kid hands are dirtier. :) But anyway, mine usually get excited and want to use their finger and 99% of those times we can't get it open when we return. Certainly not the end of the world, just need to find a locker attendant and they will help you. I suggest making sure you have something in your locker that serves as photo ID. They do occasionally ask if they have to manually open the locker for you so it will just save you the hassle of proving it IS your stuff. It is good to see that they do check this, as I would hate to return to find my stuff gone. :(

Great advice! It will be one wand box, hopefully not smashed by mom. Staying on disney property, and heading right to the MK for dinner at CRT. I have a feeling we might need a disney locker too!
