Do User Names need to be shorter now?

My dh, Alan, was lost in the move. I tried to register him again as Turkey Leg Connoiseur, and it wouldn't let me keep typing after Turkey Leg Conn---. Do I need to think of something shorter for him now?

I just extended the maximum user name length . You should be okay to retry his user name.
