Do they still sell Pralines at POR bakery?

Hi everyone,

We are currently staying at POR for the first time and it is amazing. It is definitely living up to the hype (as did POP where we stayed for the first few days). We are in building 16 which is nice and close to everything and very close to building 14 which is what I originally requested. The pools are lovely and the food court is great.

My question is does anyone know if the bakery is still selling the pralines that I have read about, I haven't seen any on display and when I asked one of the CMs she didn't know what I was talking about bu I am not sure if that is due to my British accent!! Anyway does anyone know exactly what they look like and what to ask for as I thought they sounded yummy...

Pam and I were there about 18 months ago and could not find any pralines. We asked several cast members at both Riverside and the French Quarter but no luck. If you find out they are back in stock, let us know!

I had them back in 2002 on my honeymoon and tried and tried to find them again in 2005- they didn't have them at POR anymore but I did find them in the candy store in the MK on Main St. I'm sure it was just my imagination, but they didn't taste as good as they did back at POR!

Thanks for that, at least I know I am not going mad. I remember having a praline years ago that was divine but not from POR. I might check out the candy store at MK just in case.

We have stayed there 3 times (the last was Oct 06) and they never had the pralines. I asked all over the food court, the gift shop and the front desk and no on knew what the heck I was talking about.

1. Pralines -- check in the Fulton General Store (main bldg for POR) - I think I saw Pralines there in April
2. Beignets @ POFQ (not pralines, but they are "themed" sweets)
