Do they send PINs if you've already made a ressie?

Our last trip was in 2009, and we are dying to go back. DYING, I tell you! I've been receiving a steady string of PIN codes for 40% off deluxe for about 18 months now. Our last offer came in August but expires right before Christmas. We can't travel until Jan. 2, so the latest PIN won't help us. Go figure. I'd like to go ahead and book a room-only and *hope* that another PIN comes along for our Jan. trip. I realize it may never come, but a girl can hope, right? ;) Although I worry if I do make a ressie that they'll be taken off the "needs a PIN code list" or whatever crazy algorithm that Disney uses to distribute PINs. :confused3

Has anyone ever received a PIN after making a reservation?

TIA! :thumbsup2

I received one recently and we have a reservation. It was for 10% off Value, Moderate or Deluxe.

I got one after I made my deposit. It was up to 40% off deluxe. It didn't help me since it wasn't good for the last 4 (most expensive) days of my trip. It came snail mail

PINs are random. The last pin I received was in January. I booked two rooms with it - June and Oct 2011. I have not received a pin since then. Prior to that, I know some people received the monster pin, which I did not get. I was booked for Sept. 2010.

I booked our upcoming trip (for myself and DSis) back in January. Since then my DH has received one pin and my son has received two and I have not received any. This is totally crazy because they don't go to Disney and I do all the bookings for my and DSis's annual trips.

Next year I will not book until the last minute!

Yeah, I've decided to wait a couple of more months before I book anything. I am not married to any single resort and flexible with dates. I'm hoping for one of the MK resorts or maybe the cabins at FW. *If* I get a PIN or a discount comes out I will be so excited. I'm even considering buying an AP since we plan to take an adults only trip to celebrate our anniversary in May. BUT if a good discount doesn't come our way, I am totally fine with trying an off-site resort this time. I've made ADRs, so at least I know where & when we're eating, which is half the fun! :woohoo:

They sent us a PIN for dates that I was not able to travel but I called and spoke with a CM anyway and explained that I could not travel on the dates offered. It turned out that we had a better deal than what was on the PIN code. :wizard: We booked for November instead of September those dates were on our offer. It doesn't hurt to try.

I currently have a package booked for Oct. 2012, and just received a pin for this Oct. 2011. Hopefully they will be sending another pin my way next year! :) Does anyone know how far out they start to send pins? I'm still learning! Thanks!

Last year, I had a room discount pin already booked, and then they went and sent me a free dining pin (which I wound up rebooking on).
