Do they give you anything to do a timeshare presentation?

My hubby and I might be interested in doing a timeshare presentation if there is a good enough reward. Last year, we did a Marriott timeshare presentation and we got discounted MYM two day passes with a free waterpark. It was great! That's exactly what I'm looking to get this year. Would that be possible? Do they do it every day of the week? We are flying in on Friday and would probably want to do the parks like Mon, Tues, Thurs so would need to do it over the weekend. Anyone know? Thanks!

Justine

We got a glass of lemonade.

Good luck!

Oops, forgot to add maybe some others have had better luck. And if I remember correctly, you can tour any time.

Lemonade, cookies, ice cream, and Fastpasses. And a healthy helping of magic! pixiedust:

I assume you are asking specifically about meeting with someone to check into DVC. I can only answer from my experience. We were already owners the time we met with a DVC rep at WDW for an add on. We received a special Fast Pass card that could be used 3 times for each of our family members. At the end of the presentation you can have ice cream in the ice cream parlor and will get a free picture of your party.

While you are in the presentation childcare is provided too.

Presentation times are pretty flexible. They are great about picking you up and dropping you off wherever you need to be.

I am sure someone else will have more details but that's what I can share from my experience onsite. We live near the Disney Doorway to Dreams location in the Chicago area and that is where we made our original purchase. We never wanted to take the time from the parks to go to an onsite presentation but the one time we did, it was quick and I'm glad we had the opportunity.

maybe you could go and do the marriott presentation again or find another presentation?

DVC timeshare tours as others have said will get you lemonade, ice cream and free babysitting for the kids and the fastpass. DVC is not high pressure, it is more of a "look at what we have to offer" and less of a "your stupid if you don't take us up on this fantastic offer" type of tour.
If you are looking for free tickets you can go to an outside tur and get tickets. When I am in FL for an extended period and have a free morning I will do a tour. I have it down to what to say and do and have never planned to buy.
I have gotten 2-2 day passes to WDW, $150 cash, and 2-2 day tickets to UniversaL witha day at Wet and Wild.
I stay 90 min. but with travel time there and back, sign in time and waiting for them to call my name it might take about 3 hours.
It is almost fun seeing the things they say and do to people. Some on these boards will say I am wasting their time and it is the sales person's commission I am taking but I know someone who does time share sales and he told me that they get paid more than minimum anyway and commission is extra. And the prizes come from the company and are bought in bulk so they don't take the big bite out of the company that people think they do.

I wonder if they will give me anything now. I purchased without ever hearing the presentation. I heard some it over the phone I guess, but that shouldn't count...

I want my ice cream!

If you're looking for a discounted stay with free tickets or discounted tickets, and you have already done Marriott...try Sheraton Vistana Viiages. We did it there, granted it was a few years ago, but we got a 3 night stay in a one bedroom plus 2 free Sea World tickets for $199. The catch was having to bear the sales pitch which was a hard sell and honestly, it made the deal not so much of a deal for us. They would not let us leave and would not take NO for an answer.

As others have mentioned, you will never get that with DVC. The best you will get is the fastpasses and ice cream. DVC doesn't need to bait people in. That being said we did get a $100 GC back in 2003 when we toured the very first time. But that was long ago!

I did my 1st sales presentation, I believe in 1998-1999, at Vero Beach. My Dad went and we both received $50.00 gift gards to the resturant at vero.

We took the tour in mid July. When we called to schedule our tour we were told that we would receive a $100 gift card. We took the tour and purchased BLT which we knew going in we were going to do. At the end our guide gave us two $50 gift cards. :woohoo:

In 1998 my family attended the tour at Boardwalk and I got ice cream, we got a free van ride and my parents got friendly phone calls from their Orlando based tour guide unitl 1999 - when they also got a nice sized credit card bill.

Whatever you're promised, and it won't be much, make sure you get it. Eight years later, it still upsets me that we were promised 4 Fastpasses for taking the tour. No Fastpasses-maybe our guide forgot, so when we were going to WDW as DVC members for the first time several months later, I called and he appologized and promised that our Fastpasses would be waiting at the preview center. So we went over to the preview center-no Fastpasses and our guide wasn't available! So Glenn, after 8 years, where are our Fastpasses you promised us?

We must have scored out at DL in May08. We got $150 in gift cards for going through a presentation. Maybe DL was harder up to get people to talk to back then.

We did buy from that guide a year later, then added on with him about 6 months after our initial buy.

Man, I can't believe what a cheap date I was. I put out a bunch of money and didn't even get a cookie.

I am going to change my name to disney slut.

I just left BLT and there was a flyer in the room advertising the $100 GC offer to scheduling a DVC tour so this is still going on.
