we always go to disney in oct and have never been able to take advantage of this do they have it in oct or just in the winter? :flower1:

Yes, they do have EMH's during October. We took advantage of them while at WDW on our October, 2003 trip.

I would assume they will have both the EMH's and new evening equivalent (extended evening hours on certain nights, for those staying on site) during October of 2005. They just don't have those schedules posted this far in advance. Check the WDW calendars around June or July, as the October park hours and EMH info should be made available to the public by around then. They usually try to have that info online in plenty of time for people to make decisions and schedule their PS ressies. Be aware, however, that like many things the EMH's (& park hours in general) can be subject to change without much advance notice.

We happened to be at AK on Columbus day of 2003, and found out from a CM that Disney had decided to extend that park's hours for the day (because of the holiday crowds)--instead of closing at 5 PM, as previously advertised, they were remaining opened until 7 PM. We had PS at Rainforest Cafe, and decided to go back into the park after we ate. As we were walking back in towards the TOL, the masses were all departing for the day! We had the park practically to ourselves that evening, and there were no wait lines for anything. I think at least 95% + of the visitors never even knew, and believed that the park had indeed been closing at 5 PM.

Moral of the story...

Check the schedules regarding park hours and EMH's when planning your trip in advance. Then double check again upon arrival at WDW for any updates or changes to the schedule. And don't be shy about talking with the CM's at the various parks--you never know what sort of good info they may have for you that may make your visit to the World that much more magical!

This is a link to the current schedule. Of course you will need to check closer to your dates for the actual dates, times, morning and evening parks. Seems Disney had a schedule, but is already changing. So be sure to check your dates later in the year.

Beginning on January 2, 2005 on designated days, a Walt Disney World theme park will be open an hour early and three hours later for Disney Resort guests only and includes guests staying at the Walt Disney World Swan/Dolphin Hotels and the Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort.

i am talking about the extra magic hours at night . we have done early entry i know they always have that . i have never seen the nightime one when we are ther . we do always do mnsshp and my though was that maybe they dont do the extra night hours because of that.

The E Nights were only scheduled in the past during peak season. Don't know if those will still happen w/ the new evening EMH. As for the evening EMH it's only been a permanent thing for a few weeks now. They did do a test run of it last May. For the time being they say it's here to stay, so you should be able to take advantage of it in October.

They did not have the night time EMH's, as a 'regular' feature, prior to this year. It is basically a new variation, rather than always having morning EMH's.

They don't have E-Ride nights anymore. The new schedule is what they are offering now. All guest staying at the resorts are allowed to participate with no charge. It will most likely be offered in October too. If they have it in Jan. and Feb. can't imagine they won't have it in October.

I talked to a Disney CM about this the other day. They have MNSSHP on certain days not every day. The PM EMH will simply be staggered along with MNSSHP. For example, they may have MNSSHP on Monday then not on Tuesday. On Tuesday they may have PM EMH.

thanks guys i guess i was remembering the e nights and getting that confused with the emh. glad to hear they will be having this all the time now. we are not morning people and the ee was a killer!

LOL I thoroughly expect to wake up at the crack of dawn on the day of our trip and see my DD sitting wide and glassy eyed at the foot of her bed waiting to leave. She has been waiting for this trip for a few years now. DW and I didn't want to make our first Disney trip unpleasant by having to worry about money. Now we have enough money saved up that it wont be a factor. I dont think I will have a choice in the early start. LOL
