Do they ever give you a ride when changing resorts?

We'll be changing resorts from POR to the BCV's in April. We've never changed before. I know they'll transport your luggage over, but will they ever give you a ride if you ask? It would be nice to just get there, instead of taking the buses to a park just to hop on another bus to reach the Beach Club.

When we moved from the CBR to GF this Summer (Aug) they moved our luggage and gave us a ride at the same time in their van. It was great - we had planned to have to take a bus to DTD and kill some time and then head over to the GF but did not have to - and our room was ready to check in at 11:00 - we were pretty stoked!

Did you have to ask or did they offer? Was it when you checked out in the morning when they came and got your luggage? thanks.

I wasn't expecting the ride - I called the night before and asked about what the procedure would be to move our luggage. Then I called again in the morning to reconfirm. At 11:00 a bellman showed up. We told him that we were transfering to the GF. Then he asked us if we wanted a ride. We were not expecting that. He took us and our luggage over to the GF, loaded our stuff onto a bell cart when we got there and left.
Like I said the whole thing was a pleasant surprise and we were even more surprised that our room was ready and we were settled in before noon!
It was nice for once to have good room karma!
I guess my advice to you would be talk to the bell staff prior to your trnsf day and then in the morning call up and ask if they can take you and your luggage at the same time.

Thanks so much for taking the time to tell me all that! What a nice surprise that must've been, but SO "Disney" like, ha? I won't expect it, but it sure would be nice. Hey, how cool, you'll be there the same time! We're going to try for bldg. 15 again, I love just getting right off the bus and into our room. thanks again!

In 2000, we moved from CBR to WL. The bell services guy that came to pick up asked if we wanted to ride along. He already had another couple in the van as well. It was definitely a nice surprise.

Since then, we've changed resorts on two other trips and have never been offered a ride. -HM
