Do they ever do small add on incentives?

I know this is an odd question. I bought the minimum 150 points. I would love more, maybe 50-75. I just want to be able to not cringe when I think of how many points the weekends are. As most of you know, last month I went on my 1st DVC trip, took my father. We checked in Sun and checked out Thurs (as I'm sure a lot of members do) and I kind of felt guilty, because he really would've liked more time, he likes lonfer trips. I know SSR has that incentive right now, but 120 points is a lot of $$$. Do they ever offer any kind of incentive for smaller add-ons? I was mumbling to my DBF today about how I wish I got more points because the price is going up next month. He just rolled his eyes at me :rotfl: I guess I should've just bought more in the 1st place.
Thanks for listening!

The only incentive I recall for smaller add-ons (50) was Magical Beginnings That program required you to sell back your points for the first use year. The amount varied from $5-15/point depending on the resort.

They did have incentives for smaller point blocks when they were trying to move VB & HH. These 2 satellite resorts did not sell out as fast as expected and they were trying to give incentives for members to add-on at these resorts. I sure everyone remembers the "buy here, stay anywhere" threads. :)

Hmmm. I guess I'll just wait a few years, and do an add-on of some sort anyway. I just wish the darn point increase wasn't coming up. I should've had the common sense to get more points in the 1st place. Too darn bad I didn't discover these boards before I became a member, I would've had more knowledge.

Just borrow (if you need to) while you are waiting "a few years" to do your add on. It will be quite a while before you have to "skip" a year and maybe by then, you'll either not want to go so often or know exactly what you need/want.

Best wishes-

Thanks Carol, I could always try that. I was just trying to keep things simple instead of borrowing, but since it seems like a lot of people do it, it mustn't be very tricky.
