We'll be there Sun 3/1 and Mon 3/2. I've heard it's much easier to get a seat on a weeknight for Fantasmic than a Sunday evening. My kids are young so we'd need to see the first showing on Sunday if we chose to see it that day as the 2nd one is just too late. The show Monday is much earlier in the evening which works better for us and supposedly it will be easier to find a seat but I don't want to wait until the last night if there's a chance it might be canceled (like the fireworks sometimes were). WWYD? Is there a significant difference in finding a spot to watch on the Sunday vs. Monday show? Thanks!!

Rule of thumb: Never wait to the last night if it is something you really want to see/do. You just never know when something will be cancelled.

I think you should not wait until the last night. Do Fantasmic on the first available night. Fantasmic is often cancelled because of high winds, rain and other weather issues.

Great, thanks guys! My kids have not seen this show yet and it's been many years for me. It was not showing last time we were there. We really want to catch it this time! Any tips on how early we should save seats for the first Sunday showing and where to sit? There will be 2 adults and 3 kids.

I agree! We follow this rule too ever since we once missed fireworks because we didn't ;) This time we did fireworks first and were glad we did as both the fireworks and fantasmic were cancelled on our last night! Glad we didn't wait!

A good way to gauge whether F! will be canceled is to stand behind the A/V people (by the light tower). Then look behind you at the flag on top of the Dream Suite. If the flag is waving consistenly, you can bet they will cancel. You can also watch the communication between the people at the A/V controls and the people up above the Dream Suite (where there is another control room). They will also cancel in heavy rain.

F! is much different than RDCT in the way that it has costumed characters, uses fire on water, and a whole host of special effects that could be easily disrupted by weather.

... and just because the first show is canceled, does not mean the second show will be. It is determined show by show. Last week, the first show was canceled about 10 minutes after the scheduled time due to winds. (They were really trying to see if the winds would die down enough to let the show go on.) By the second show, it was calm enough and it started exactly as scheduled.

Do not leave it to your last night. It is an amazing show.

Not to mention that if you do wait until the last night, and even if they don't cancel, you risk spiraling into a deep depression after realizing you can't see it a second time.

And Yup

See it your first night, then you will know what you might have missed out on. :)

I would never leave something I wanted until the last night. You just never know what will happen - not necessarily the show being cancelled, but what if someone does not feel well, you're too tired at the end of your trip, what have you. We try to make sure we do all the things we really want to do at the beginning of our trip and then relax and redo the things we really enjoyed and not have to worry about missing out :thumbsup2

Are you sure they're even SHOWING IT on Monday night? They don't usually do weeknights unless it's a really crowded time and the park hours are late. March might qualify, but this is pretty early in March...:confused3

The DL Entertainment Schedule shows F! is on at 7:30 on both March 2 and 3.....

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to see the show and watch my kids seeing it for the first time. :thumbsup2 I'd love any advice on where to sit and how early to get there.

Last sunday people started sitting for the show at 6pm, only to have the 9pm show be cancelled due to high winds. so all the parents and kids and old folks went home and just those with the stamina and energy to go past 10pm stuck around, it was easy to get great seating and even though it was windy, they did let the show go on!
:cool1:
my first time watching it, it was pretty cool. thought about going this sunday, but after reading that super bowl sunday is busy, im thinking i'll take a pass.
