We had to cancel our trip last week because I ruptured my Achilles tendon three days before we were suppose to leave. I'm thinking of re booking for the first week in November (I want to avoid peak crowds). Do they close attractions after Halloween to take down Halloween decorations (or to put up Christmas decorations)? We are going during the week, but don't want to miss a lot due to closures.

Thank you!

The halloween attraction that they will close is space mountain ghost galaxy. This is a fast transition though, I think it will only be closed for 1 day. The only other halloween overlay is for haunted mansion, and it stays up from mid sept to the begging of january. It's a small world and jungle cruise will both be closed for their Christmas overlays, there is a chance that IASW will open the first weekend of November! But probably not the jungle cruise.

Space and Big Thunder Carnival will close after Halloween for the removal of the Halloween overlay. Space will likely go down on Monday, November 2 for one day (last year Halloween was on a Friday, but SMGG ran through the weekend, so I'm guessing they'll do the same thing this year). The Big Thunder Halloween Carnival area will likely close on November 1 to install the holiday carnival decor and theming. Last year Jungle Cruise closed for about two weeks to install the Jingle Cruise overlay. I don't know if it's going to take as long this year or if they needed extra time in 2014 because it was the first year of the extensive overlay. IaSW will be closed from late-October, but it has been one of the earlier holiday offerings to start up. So if you go the week after Halloween (11/2-11/6), my guess is Space will be down Monday, IaSW will be down until maybe Friday, and Jungle Cruise and Big Thunder Ranch Carnival area will be closed until the week after that. We don't know enough about how the 60th anniversary will impact the schedule to say what will happen to the Christmas Parade and WoC Winter Dreams. We know the Christmas fireworks show will not be presented this year. I recommend keeping an eye on the Christmas/Holiday SuperThread for the latest information.
