Do they allow to be a little late or early for fastpass returns ?

After looking at our itinerary I'm already feeling rushed. Like at AK we plan to ride the Safari 10:40 - 11:40 then take our time walking the trails or treks but we need to be at the Nemo musical at the 12:00 oclock show in order to make our fastpass times for Dinosaur and EE. We plan on leaving about 4:00 because we are going to DTD. I was wondering do they allow you to be a little late or early for your fastpass window ? I'm pretty sure they do not allow you to be early but what about late ?

I know (from personal experience) you can be 5 minutes early and get the green Mickey (not 6 minutes, nor 8 as we were firmly told when we showed up 8 minutes early at Jungle Cruise accidentally).

I've read you can be up to 15 minutes late but I haven't got the nerve to test that one!

why don't you just shift your FP times up by 15-20 minutes?

Arrived 8 minutes late to Under the Sea and turned blue. Told I could go ahead because they were not that busy at the moment but impression was had they been busy I would have been turned away. This last trip saw quite a few turned away because they were late but I never heard by how many minutes.

You can go 5 minutes early. We showed up to Expedetion Everest at 12:42 and got in this past friday. Our fp was for 11:35 to 12:35 so you must get at least 10 minutes to be late.

We did show up 5 minutes early for one and I was wondering if they'd let us in and they did, we didn't have any problem. We weren't late to any so I am not sure on that.

If you show up at the begining of your FP+ time frame, I always found that we had extra time than we thought we'd have after finishing the ride, etc. With the safari it's going to take you 20 minutes or so to get through with it, but I think you'd still have time. The walk is a little ways but not too far from the safari to Nemo.

Thanks, yeah my thinking is probably allowing to much time for the rides and breakfast hopefully it wont be as long I calculate lol

I know I showed up to BTMRR about 5 minutes late due to parade traffic and had to wait another 5-10 minutes or so in line before the FP+ "gate" and had no problems.

We sat at Toy Story for 10 minutes waiting for our FP window and watched people get turned away for being there at 8:19 for an 8:20 FP, so I would guess either the early grace period has passed or it's only at certain rides/attractions.

We were 10 min late for our Tower of Terror FP, and 2 min late for our Space Mountain FP, and both of them flashed green with no problem.

A CM at guest services in MK (Town Square Theater) told me the machines were programmed to allow 5 minutes early and 15 minutes late. I never tested late, but we did test the 5 minutes early and it worked every time.

Yes, that's what always happened to us. We always had extra time that I didn't think we'd have. Especially when we went at the first few minutes the FP+ was available. The only exception (which didn't have anything to do with a FP+, but we thought we might miss the FP+ window) was we were on the way to the Safari and was going to hit it at the very beginning of our FP+ window. We passed Baloo and King Louie signing so we decided to stop and meet them first, because the line was pretty short. We got in that line, and wow, they took a LONG time to get through not a whole lot of people. But they are great with everyone, so it's a great experience. We were coming up on 20 minutes left in our FP+ window, and booked it over to the Safari. We got there with 10-15 minutes to spare, and walked right on the Safari. So if you meet those two, leave yourself lots of time. :) ;)

I'm not disputing the experiences of others, but my personal experience last month is much different. During our last visit in mid-March, the CMs were NOT allowing people to enter the FP+ line early - not even by a few minutes. We witnessed this happen more than once. I cannot attest to a late arrival, as we did not witness/experience it personally. I think it's safe to say that "it depends" on several factors, not excluding the CM's mood at that moment. :goodvibes
