Out of these places who needs reservations? They all are for dinners.

A Buffet with Character at The Crystal Palace - MK
Character Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern - MK
Coral Reef - Epcot
Les Chefs de France - Epcot

ALL of them. Unless you're going during an off-peak time of the year (or day) for that matter most of those will book up and on some occasions won't accept "walk-ups".

At this point even those slower times may require an ADR because of the DDP and Free Dining promotion. The Free Dining is being offerred during a "slower" time of the year but may keep the restaurants busy. If I were you I'd make the ADR's as you can always cancel without any penalty.

you can/should make adrs for all of those restaurants, and any other character/table service restaurant except Beaches and Cream (I believe). breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner.

ALL OF THEM!!!! Especially if you want to choose the best times!!!!

Which ones should you make an ADR for? I would say all of them!

Coral Reef and Les Chefs should be fine without ADR's. I would call the day you want to eat at these restaurants and book a time, but it's not totally neccessary. I was able to get a reservation at Les Chefs whenever I wanted it recently during Memorial Day week. I was also able to get day of dining at Les Chefs this past January and October. Character Meals seem to book up earlier, as well as Le Celleir.

I disagree, I'm already having trouble and I'm going in October. While some folks are still there for free dining, not everyone is, since it ends Sept 30th. Coral reef is getting difficult to get good times (to be done before illuminations, same with le chefs...unless you want very very early dinners, very very late dinners or lunches...you can still get those. However i'm sure if you wait you'll be out of luck...i've heard they were posting signs in the front of the parks in Feb (not peak) saying all TS restaurants were booked, please enjoy our CS restaurants.

Yup, I'd make them to be safe, and if you want to change your mind on some then you can try to make alternate arraingements whyen you get there...atleast you will be set for one a day if you cant get anything else.

Well I am not going until August 2007 so I cant make my ressies until Feb. Now let me ask you all something. I have done ressies before but only at 1 restraunt. Not several. Since its 180 days before the date I wanna eat there, can I make all my ressies for my entire trip when I call or do I need to call everyday. Like say my ressies are for the 6, 7, and 10th. On feb 6th can I make my ressies for all 3 days or do I have to call feb 6th for august 6th, feb 7th for august 7th, etc.

Since you are staying on site at AKL, you can call 180 days from your check-in date and then make reservations for up to 10 days of your stay. So you can make them all the first day....unless, of course, you are staying more than 10 days.

That is the 180+10 you may have seen people on here refer to. :thumbsup2

As far as I know.. it is 180 days from the day you want to go so you will have to call back for each reservation.....that has been my experience. You could ask when you call and maybe, just maybe a sweet CM will do it for you....but my gut is that you will have to call back each day...so it is 180 days from the date you want the ressie for.

This is the way it used to be. When they changed it to 180 days out they also changed it to 180 + 10. So usually it is just one day of calling...of course they do not release all of the tables the first day so if you do not get a ressie the first day you can always call back!

If you can, really make the ADR's before you go. You can always cancel them if you need to.

On the other hand, we made one same day ADR and a next day ADR while we were there and had great luck. The same day ADR was for Mama Melrose and we got in w/ no problem at a normal time (I think 5 pm). I called the nite before about LeCellier and was able to get in at 2:50 for the tail end of lunch. IF you can be totally flexible with your times, you can wait til you get there.

But I definitely would NOT recommend not having ADRs for those places because you will get turned away. When we got checked into LeCellier, I overheard 2-3 groups walking up and asking about dining. They were told repeatedly that they were booked up for the next xxx amount of days.
