Do these boards ever actually run quickly?

Even though I am not a big Disney fan, I think that this might be my favorite internet forum group ever. But the incredibly SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW pace of page loading really detracts from my enjoyment.

I have cable service and usually I just zip to wherever I'm going. Do all of you experience this?

Yes, I have problems too. I often think it is because so many posters have large signatures and lots of photos. I remember when I was first registered here (somehow I lost my original name). Many months later when I re-registered, I was stunned at the changes with photos, etc. I thought it had slowed down then.

The boards seem pretty slow today and using a T1 line. I usually just zip in and out.

They ran quite well some months back, but have progressively slowed to a crawl, even at off times, like midnight. Maybe the coming version upgrade of the VBulletin software engine will improve it.

They are unusually slow for us today too. We have dsl and usually they run fairly quickly but the last couple of days it's been "slower than mollases in the dead of winter".

I think many, many people visit the Dis Boards. The place is so popular. Picture 70,000 DIS'ers all trying to get in one turnstile. I know we are all not on at the same time, but that many are regestered.

It is extra slow around here today. It is frustrating, but it is a big and popular site. I'm positive that Pete and the webmasters are well aware when it is slow and are doing their best to keep things moving quickly. I'm sure they are even more unhappy than us when things aren't flowing smoothly.

At least now I know that it isn't just me. I have dial up and I'm spending a lot of time on other websites while waiting for the DIS pages to load. The DIS is SO slow today!

It might be coincidence, but I've noticed when they have to ban someone, that slows down the boards. Let me go see if I'm the one they banned.

It's really been a major pain lately. I have DSL and never have trouble anywhere until I come to the DIS and then it seems like it just STOPPPPPPS!!!!!

I don't think it relates to the number of people on line as it seems it can be any time of the day/night. I would think that very late at night there is not too much of a poster load.
