Do the value resorts celebrate special occasions?

We'll be staying at the All-Star Movie on our 5th wedding anniversary. Do you know if they do anything special for you? I know when we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge on our 2nd anniversary, they gave us balloons and chocolates in our room. Also, at WDW, can you get buttons to wear that say "anniversary" on them, like at Disneyland? If so, where can we get them?

Sorry I can't give any advice but I'd like to know the same thing. We have stayed at WL for our last few anniversaries and this year we will be at PORS for out 5th anniversary.

You can get the buttons as you go into MK at city hall. I've heard you can get them at any park, but that's the only place I've seen them.

That certainly isn't a gurantee at POP or any other resort! Some people have reported getting special touches in their rooms for special occasions but others have not. We were recently at POP for my son's 7th birthday (which I let them know about in advance) and nothing special was done. I would have liked something but nothing was expected.

I do believe that you can get and anniversary badge at City Hall in MK and guest relations at the other parks. We got a birthday button and most every CM we encountered wished him a Happy Birthday!

I was there for my birthday at Pop and they sent me a card (signed by Mickey) and a balloon. Then we moved to the CR for the remainder of my trip and they sent me a card (signed by Cindi) and a balloon. So pretty even between the two resorts. I do think one of my kids went to the front desk and told them it was my birthday at Pop and I think housekeeping saw the balloon at the CR and sent me the second one.

We were at POP last year celebrating our anniversary and they gave us a card with a pic that was signed by Mickey and Minnie as well as balloons. We also got a special Anniversary call from Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. It was nice.

In 2005, my SIL had a birthday at the POP and received a card and balloons. I've seen people on Segways delivering items to rooms in the past as well.

There is never a guarantee anywhere, but POP always seems to have guest service together! (at least when I've been there).

Oh, Good. We are celebrating DS's 4th Birthday while we are at POP. When I booked the room I had them note that it was his 4th Birthday. He will be thrilled to get a baloon and a card. But if he doesn't, just being at Disney will make his day!

We were at POP for our anniversary (our TA had it noted on our reservation) and we had a certificate delivered to our room.

At the top it says Happiest Celebration On Earth
In the middle are pictures of all the characters
Then it says: This moment was certifiably Magical. Across the miles and over the years, you'll always remember this Magical Moment from the Walt Disney Resort.
Then it has our names printed on it and the reason it was says our Magical Moment was our 8th anniversary.

when you check in be sure to mention it to the front desk.

definitely get him a birthday pin - if the resort doesn't give you one - then go visit City Hall at the MK.

he will get tons of attention and probably alot of free stuff there.
