Do the unlimited soda mugs style change? I have a friend who recently went on the 4 day Wonder and her family bought the mugs and said they would loan them to us...

Does the style change? would they know the difference... I know this is sorta cheating by borrowing a mug from someone else, but hey.. every penny counts!

I was considering bringing my son's mug from last year. I did pay for it for "unlimited" soda. I would not consider loaning to someone else but I personally think charging for soda is ridicuolous anyhow. My son does not drink as much soda as the amount of food my husband eats for free but they don't charge him extra for being a pig (sorry honey ) The way I see it I paid for the mug once and it is mine to use. So go ahead and flame me- I am a bad person too.

To answer the original question --- yes, the styles do occasionally change. In April they were in the midst of putting a new style in to the system -- so there were actually still the older style and the newer style available.

Disneygator did not ask for a lecture or scolding but merely whether the style of the mug changes. You can either answer the question or decline to answer but there is no need to be rude.

To answer the question asked, I think the mug style is different on the Wonder and the MAgic and it does change occasionally on each ship. If your friends sailed recently and you plan to sail soon, there is a very good chance the mugs will look the same.

The mugs would come in handy at the free drink station even if you decided not to use them for soda refills.

hmmm, didn't realize this was such a sore topic... oh well, everyone has an opinion, thanks for sticking up for me Peg... was what we would use them for mainly anyway. Or to put our own frosty beverages in, we just want a bigger mug for the ice... but I guess some probably think bringing your own drinks is stealing too. But hey, it is the hand that feeds me anyway

The Refillable Soda Mugs are sold for the length of your cruise at $5 per day. $15-3 day, $20-4 day and $35-7 day cruise. The mugs are only good for the length of that cruise.

Those wishing to save on the cost of sodas may want to consider bringing their own on board which can be kept in their stateroom fridge/cold box.
