Do the talking trash cans still exist?

Title asks it all, I suppose! I remember hearing about them, but in our 3 trips in the last 3 years, we've never happened upon one.

That's too bad. Doesn't seem like something that needed to go to make room for something else, either! Maybe it required a kind of tech upkeep that was problematic, I suppose.

I heard Push accidentally wandered into the World Showcase during the Food & Wine festival on a Saturday evening a couple years ago and, after having several folks using Push as table spill their wine, fell in with the wrong crowd and proceeded to "trash" around-the-world. There were stories of a variety of incidents - one of which was throwing garbage off the bridge next to France down on the folks doing the Illuminations cruises. The kicker was climbing up the Mexico pavilion, ripping up used napkins and throwing the pieces up into the air to create a fake snow storm over the horrified masses quickly covering up their margaritas. After that security was called in and "Push" was summarily dismissed and banned from all Disney properties.

At least, {ah hem} that's what I heard.

I seem to recall someone mentioning a "talker" at Electric Umbrella in Epcot. Not interactive, just spits out pre-recorded messages, so maybe that is still there?

AK had a talking palm tree, which I believe was named Wes. I haven't seen him for several years.

PUSH and I had a "moment" at the bridge by Tomorrowland. Then, the next week, he was gone! :sad2::sad::sad2:. I loved PUSH and spent time with him whenever there was an opportunity! So many little joys are now gone. Missing you, PUSH! :sad1:

Saw it a few years ago, right across from the Speedway. We actually saw the guy close by who was the "talker". It was neat.

In January 2014 we took our kids on what would probably be our last family trip for awhile before our oldest went off to college. We decided on that trip to not use phones at all, so we could bond and actually experience the vacation. It was wonderful to interact with my teens with no screens. We were enjoying some ice cream sundaes in Tomorrowland, having a grand old time. All of us (except for our then 13 year old DD) were aware of a trash can slowly moving towards the table. Suddenly Push was right next to our daughter, she turned around and screamed, it was hilarious and we had a good time interacting with Push. One of my favorite memories. The kids all say "too bad you didn't record it" but you know I am glad I have that memory so vividly in my head, I doubt it would have even happened had we had our heads buried in our phones. Push was no more a few weeks after we left. I'll always treasure the memory of a trashcan making my teens laugh so hard.
