do the resorts accept checks?

This will be our first trip to dw - yipeee! Can anyone tell me if the resort takes checks to purchase the park hopper tickets and pay for your room? Thank you!

Three years ago, we paid for our rooms using a check. I'm not for sure that this is still a practice, but you can always call the resort to find out.

Yes! You can pay by check. It will just take about an extra two to three minutes at checkout. They call some sort of check "checking" system that takes a few extra minutes as they punch in a bunch of codes from a book the CM has at the check out counter. I guess not a whole lot of people use a check because when we did it at the animal kingdom lodge, the CM asked us to be patient as she never had any one use a check before, and she had to follow a certain procedure in the book.

My one night's deposit is always paid on-line with Visa, and my balance is always paid by check upon arrival.
I've never had a problem with it.
