Do the pop warner groups only stay at certain resorts?

My wife and I were looking to do the first week in December next year and wanted to stay at the Art of Animation most likely. Does anyone know if this is a resort that pop warner groups stay at? Are there specific resorts they are usually only at?

This year's package offers -

Disney’s All-Star Resorts, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

I do keep seeing these specific resorts mentioned. Are these the typical ones they stay at?

Yes. AllStars are the top place for groups, CBR would be next and it is the closest moderate to WWOS, then CSR is the next closest and it is a convention hotel.

POP is used for groups but right now they are not part of the POP Warner package and in order to participate they must book/stay at Disney resorts as part of the package. If they do run out of room and put some at POP you might have them in your food court.

To date, Art of Animation has not been a Pop Warner option. Probably because it's still relatively new and popular, and the majority of the rooms are family suites which would not be an economical option for Pop Warner. In addition to the resorts PP mentions, the only other one I've seen offered in the past is POR however I don't believe that has been a choice moderate for a few years.

I would assume that that is the only reason.

Yes, I would assume it's the main reason. But after POR was renovated, it was no longer a choice moderate resort for them. And POFQ hasn't been used as overflow in a number of years either. POFQ has increased in popularity, and so has POR especially after the renovation (which was now a few years ago). Pop Warner is a notorious group due to noise levels, large gatherings, etc. so I think they don't want to tarnish their more popular and newer resorts with a group that is known for some wear and tear and guest disturbances. Just speculation, but I'm basing it off their resort choices for the last several years.

DW and I will be at POR and I am very happy to read that this resort has been off the list of options for the packages over the last few years.

They will still be in the parks. I was part of the group for years with my daughters and I would never want to be there during Pop Warner week if I could avoid it. I want to go for my Granddaughters birthday next year which is on December 5th. We are probably going to go before or after her birthday due to Pop Warner. The large groups, even if well behaved can be annoying.
