Here is my situation. My son will be 4 December 5th (Yep, he was born on Walt's birthday!) His cousin, who is joining us for WDW at the end of October for her birthday will be 4 on November 2nd. We are taking both kids to MNSSHP on the 30th and then plan on going out to PI on actual Halloween for a few hours (myself and my sis in law). I know the rules state 4 and up for the kids clubs but both children are fully potty trained and darn close to being four, how would they know? Do they ask for a birth certificate?

I am not against getting a babysitter, it just seems like they would have more fun hanging out with other children, especially on Halloween night as I bet most of them have some sort of party.

If everyone here feels it would be a totally horrible thing to do to sneak them into the club even though they aren't quite four, I won't do it. I cave to peer pressure...hee hee. I just thought they would have a better time there than with someone just hanging out at the room.

I have no idea how they would know, but I don't think you would be covered by insurance, and i don't think it's a good idea.
What would your kids say if they were asked their age? I know what mind would say.

to be honest, my 4 1/2 year old seemed kinda young when we left her, and she's been to loads of kids clubs in her time, but most of the kids seemed to be quite a bit older than her. She had a nice time but I felt it was more aimed at the older ones.

They may ask your child (they've asked others) and the reason that the age is four is Florida state law - that is how the kids clubs are licensed - so they don't have any leeway.

Oh duh. I didn't even think of insurance issues. My god, and I work for lawyers. Thanks!

Fairy Godmother it is. I am sure they will be fine. Just thought they might have more fun.

AdventurerKat, don't feel bad for asking and I'm glad to see nobody jumped on you for it! I saw your other post looking for Fairy Godmother advice... good for you for making the right decision. On our first trip DS was only 3 1/2 and we were disappointed not to beable to use the clubs but we just adjusted our plans and had a good time anyway. Good luck with your trip.
:D

And as far as that goes, my kids were bummed out that the Fairy Godmother we got was not coming to play with them another day of our trip. The two and half yo kept asking when his new friend was coming to play!!
