Do swaps make you feel guilty?

I'm in 2 Disney swaps that I joined on another website. I'm in 7 categories all together--one is due Sept. 20 and the other Oct. 15. I've already completed 2 categories and I've got my ideas and all the supplies for the others, so I've still got plenty of time. The problem is, now that I've obligated myself to this, I feel guilty when I work on my pages. It's like I'm a kid who's not allowed to play outside til homework is finished. And when I work on the swap items, I'm constantly worrying about whether the fellow swappers will like the stuff. So I end up not scrapping at all! Anyone else have this problem?

When I first started swapping I worried that my stuff would not be up to par, but I don't worry about it anymore. Everyone is talented in their own special way!!

I like doing swaps and scrapping, I have been able to do up some great pages with swap items I have rec'd from others.

I don't really feel guilty that I am swapping and not scrapping at any particular time, I would never want to be "caught up" ---then what would I do!! I love having pictures to go thru and come up for ideas for them!

In a round'a'bout way that's why I don't do swaps. I've participated in a few embellishment swaps but that's not the same thing. I just feel like if I'm going to put that much effort into something I want to see it on *my* scrapbook page! And I want to feel proud of my page as in "I did all of this myself." I know that swapping is addictive, though, so I'm obviously not in the majority. :)

I am just as addicted to swapping as I am scrapping. I have gotten so many incredible things in swaps (some yucky too, but not many) that it's worth it. I feel when I do work on my pages it's so much quicker with all my goodies at hand. I know people who thing swapping is terrible (of course I know people that think scrapping is a waste of time). I guess what I'm saying is it's not for everyone and do what YOU think is fun and rewarding. Enjoy.

Thanks for the replies. I am really looking forward to all the goodies I'll get from the swaps! I guess I just need to get these in the mail so they'll be off my mind. From now on I'll limit myself to one swap at a time. It makes sense to do more than one category, though, because of shipping costs. And I think I'll stick w/DIS swaps. You guys are kinder and gentler than some of the people on some of the other scrapping boards I read. I'm not very thick-skinned, so I rarely post on those.

I do enjoy doing swaps, although I try not to sign up for too many, as I feel I shouldn't be working on my own pages when I have swap things to make.
I've mostly got amazing things back, which does make me worry that my things aren't up to scratch, but I've just decided that if I've put my heart into it, then I should be proud of what I have made. I was pleased as punch the other day when someone posted a layout using an item that I had sent it!
