Do SW flights drop within 19 days to departure?

I paid for all of my flights to DW with points. I was hoping to rebook them but the price never came down. Does anyone have any experience with the prices within 2.5 (19 days) weeks of departure? Just hoping

That's the best part about paying with points. It's like getting an instant refund if the price drops. Much better than being stuck with credits that you have to use up before the exp date.
Back in the good ol days of Ding fares, we did get Dings about 1 week prior so I would definitely keep trying. You have nothing to lose by trying.

One time, it was the day before we were leaving and the price dropped for our return flight. The departure time was for a couple hours later but we didn't mind.

Only if they have many seats to sell. Typically if there are not many seats left, the "wanna get away" price disappears in the last week.

I just changed our departure flight day/time for our trip next week at the 3.5 week mark. Price was $10 cheaper.

Then on 7/27, I changed our return flight from 8/14 to 8/15 and the fare was $15 more than previous flight, but I used the $10 credit from above to offset.

In both instances, flights were midweek, not a weekend.

We are leaving on Thurs. and our SW flights have been higher than what we paid on the day our dates came out. They have been higher for a long time now.
