Do strollers need to be emptied of all items while left unattended?

We left items with the stroller, however, I bought a lock to tie the bag to the stroller so no one would take off with the bag and a lock for the wheels so they couldn't just take the whole rig. I also bought a lock to keep the zippers shut so no one could rifle through our bag. I left our big camera/camcorder, toys, purchases, nighttime toys, etc. in the bag and took my phone/credit cards, etc. with us in a crossbody purse. I set all the combinations to the same code and it worked really well for us and wasn't a big hassle, surprisingly.

You don't have to completely empty it. I wouldn't leave anything valuable, but WDW really doesn't attract a bad crowd. I doubt anyone is gonna steal a sweater or a hat.

Theft may be comparatively low, but you don't want to be one of the ones in the small pool of guests it happens to. Why leave anything on your stroller that may entice someone?

We don't. Generally we just leave the backpack with spare clothes, diapers and snacks tucked underneath the stroller. Someone would really have to be digging to think anything of value was in there. Basically if anything were to be taken, it would be things that were easily replaced or disposable. I do have the general mindset that people do not spend all that money to go to WDW and steal and I know that is not a great mindset to have but I also don't want to waste any of my time while at WDW worrying that someone just took my stroller and $20 sweatshirt.

I would never bring anything to the parks that might entice someone to take. We use a cheap stroller (Jeep one from amazon) and the only thing left in the stroller for DD is a pull up and some clothing. Everything that has value stays with me.

We leave stuff in the stroller. I leave it all in ziplock bags, though, so that people can see that there isn't anything worth taking. All we leave are snacks, change of clothes, sunscreen/motrin/bandaids, and daipers/wipes. Each category in its own ziplock. I also leave an empty foldable tote that I can toss all the ziplocks into for getting onto busses.

I keep my messenger bag with my camera, phone, wallet, etc on me at all times.

In all of our many, many trips to Disney with our own kids and now our grandkids, we've never had anything removed from one of our strollers. We've had our strollers moved by the CM's, (be sure to mark yours), but never had one thing stolen or taken and sometimes those strollers are piled HIGH with all the "stuff" we don't want to carry any more. Of course, we don't leave purses, cameras, or 'good' sunglasses in the strollers.

We have never emptied a stroller and have never had anything removed from the stroller. I wouldn't recommend leaving an iPad or something but I don't even think about things being stolen there. Naive maybe but it's just my experience.

We too left a diaper bag with snacks, diapers, wipes etc....we would take our wallets and camera went we went in shows, but honestly the last time we went, we had a little cash on us and used our magic bands for purchases. Our triple stroller was only one of two I saw the whole week, so it was easy to find. We plan on bringing just a double next year.

We always leave our diaper bag in the stroller (unless we are changing a diaper). It only had diapers and extra clothes for the kids. We also leave our soft sided cooler on the stroller too. We always take our wallets, phones, and camera with us. While it wouldn't make us happy to have the cooler or diaper bag taken, it is all stuff that could be replaced at WDW; most of those items we have more of back at the hotel.

2 years ago, our stroller was stolen while we were in Animal Kingdom. We told the cm that was standing nearby the stroller parking area and he responded by joking around 'well, that IS a big problem, now isn't it?!' with a big grin on his face...it was sort of odd. He then proceeded to tell us that he'd 'like to believe most people are kind and it was most likely an accident.' all while smiling..lol...we then went to guest relations and got the exact canned response from a woman working there...'I'd like to believe most people are kind and it was most likely an accident and will most likely be returned.' wow.... they offered to let us rent for free a gigantic tank of a stroller and we politely declined. In all our years going to WDW this was the ONLY time our stroller was taken (even though a cm was monitoring the area, they don't remember who has which stroller)but thankfully we had nothing of value in it...

My friends had a empty older stroller taken at WDW. I suggest only leaving diaper/wipes in a clear ziploc bag or other things that can easily and quickly be replaced.

I plan on leaving my non-descript diaper bag with diapers, wipes, DD's change of clothes, sunscreen and a couple snacks in the bottom compartment of my stroller. I posted this in another thread because I was worried about theft. But there's not much of that going on according to the replies I received.

Over 20 plus years with a stroller and never any problems. We've left a camera a few times and have been lucky. I loved the cheap umbrella strollers as we'd fold them up with with our few items inside. You could never tell anything was inside them. I guess someone could have taken the stroller but cheap umbrella strollers must not be in high demand.

My family will be visiting WDW for two weeks in November. I think I read somewhere that when you leave a stroller in a waiting area (or otherwise unattended) it needs to be emptied of all personal items. Is this true? We will have a BabyTrend jogging stroller for our 14 month old son. I want to know if we can keep his diaper bag stowed in the cargo net of the stroller when we are in lines for an attraction for example. I understand Disney is not responsible for any theft but is it required that the stroller be completely empty? Thanks very much.

we kept everything in ours, i had a bookbag with my wallet and all my personal things i wouldn't want taken, we left our food bags and diaper bag on the stroller and parked it in the little stroller parking lot and never had any issues...i WILL say, don't just park it anywhere though, there are designated places to park your stroller and if you don't park it in those places, cast members WILL move them...this happened to me once and a sense of panic set in when i couldn't find mine....just make sure you look for the spots!
