Do Star Wars or Marvel Characters Sign Autographs?

I'm making an autograph book for an upcoming trip and was wondering if Chewbacca/Darth Vader or Captain America/Spider-Man sign autographs? In the past, I heard that they did not sign.

The Star Wars guys don't but both Spidey and Cap were happy to sign my book in August. HTH

My kids weren't into the autograph thing but during our August trip we did see some with autograph books be turned away by cast members but in these cases the characters were in designated meet and greet places where the CMs had to keep the lines moving for characters like Boba Fett and Chewbacca. Boba Fett even said something about not signing anything for the "Rebels"

We were told by a character handler that the SW characters do not sign. We did get a SpiderMan autograph. I *think* Cap would have signed an autograph too, but I didn't have the book with me

From my trip 3 weeks ago, we experienced the below:

Chewbacca/Darth Vader/Boba Fett: do not do autographs

Captain America/Spider-Man: will give autographs

As mentioned above, SW, no. Marvel, yes. We got a really cool multi-color autograph from Spidey. My daughter handed him the pack of sharpies to have him choose his color and he had a blast with it.

Chewy will give you a furry high 5 and cuddle, Kylo Ren a death stare and intimidating stance.
