Do shops open on a Sunday christmas time?

We will be there just before xmas and are planning on travelling back home on Sunday 23rd Dec. I was hoping to do a spot of shopping on our way back, Maybe Auchan etc around DLP and maybe at calais aswell before boarding the train,

Does anyone know if these places will be open? and how I can find out times etc?

Any info would be great

I know that Carrefour and Tescos in Cite Europe stay open on Sundays for the last couple of weeks before xmas. Auchan in Calais only starts to stay open about a week later though, I think the sign said it would be open on the 17th last year.

A few years ago we went shopping at the Auchan in Val d'Europe on Sunday 15th Dec - so I'm sure it will be open on Sunday 23rd

Generally starting with first Advent, the larger shops are open in Paris and some areas of France, such as the chain department stores. Do not expect however that ALL shops open.

For anyone who is doing holiday shopping in Paris, the department stores become extremely busy at that time, but it is a wonderful time to go as the shops are lit up outside with holiday lights.
