Do restaurants do anything special for engagement celebrations?

..Or only for weddings/honeymoons? I was hoping they'd do something fun if we had lunch or dinner at CRT (but I don't think they do anything for breakfast, right?) or anywhere for that matter.

My daughter and now son-in-law went to CRT for lunch and celebrated their engagement. Our table was decorated with confetti, ribbon and they received champagne glasses and a special salute. It was very nice.

i'd be almost sure if you called the restaurant directly and spoke to the manager and asked, they may be able to offer something. you never know.

of course, for now, there's the reliable diver & personalized menu done free of charge at coral reef.

When we went for breakfast 2 years ago, there was a couple who got engaged at CRT. It was so sweet. She had no idea it was coming. They had a window seat and he got on one knee and went the whole nine yards. He had a photographer come to the table at the right moment and the waiter brought champagne and the chocolate slipper. I don't know how he planned the whole thing, but the celebration can be done for breakfast.

there used to be formal engagement packages available. but as i said, talking to the manager will probably help. there's certainly a limited set of parameters any of them can work with but you get the right person and they'll go out of their way to make it as special as they can. and for the price, the CRT waiting staff is consistently the best i've come across.

This was over 10 years ago, but a WDW Pixie Dust moment for us- None of it was planned, but there's no way I could have asked for a nicer surprise.

DH and I were engaged on Valentine's Day (in Epcot/Italy). The next night was my bday and we went to Bonfamilles (so sad it's gone) at POFQ for dinner. Our server noticed I seemed very, very happy and asked me why, so I told her, of course.

We had our meal, and the manager or someone in charge got everyone's attention. He said something about having three very special couples celebrating there tonight, and the restaurant wanted everyone there to celebrate with all of us. There was a couple celebrating their 40th or 50th anniversary, another on their honeymoon and us, newly engaged.

Each of the servers brought the couples a cake and 2 glasses of champagne.

It was such a great night

My DH asked me to marry him in front of the castle last September. That night we had dinner in Germany. Our waitress noticed our button's that the photopass person made us go get. When she found out that we were newly engaged, she went back into the kitchen, and a short time later the chef brought out a dessert tray decorated just for us.
